I have a spare here if 10mm wants it.

The welding jig wasn't working well.

Their jig didn't fit it, because the blocking bar was welded too low and the rear sight ears interfered with the top of the jig.

It was decent otherwise as far as dimensions go, I wish it just had a feed ramp stamped into it I'm not sure why they want you to cut a section out of the receiver and weld in a ramp.

The barrel seems G2G, only thing Uzi related I would recommend from RTG.

Yeah, the Uzi is heavy enough that it's not too bad to one hand.  And the fire rate is slow, mine is about 585 rpm according to my shot timer.  Interestingly adding a can only increased the rpm by about 5.

probably because they assume you're going to be using one of these.

I did use one of those.  Because they didn't stamp the feed ramp in lol.

right, because it was a semi-auto repair section and the default for semi-auto rifle builds is to have the machined semi-auto feed ramp with the barrel restrictor, so that you don't "accidentally" install an SMG barrel in a semi-auto rifle.

So to ensure you don't install the wrong barrel they count on you to buy a completely separate part and then cut a hole in the receiver to weld it in....when the SMG ramp is installed the exact same way?  It's not exactly restricting anything.  They could just have people cut the stamped ramp out and weld the semi ramp in, same work same "accident" prevention.

Or if anyone made an SMG repair section that would be nice, RTG assured me that most people don't use this repair section for semi auto builds anyway, they said "Our footprint in the NFA community is far larger than in the semi auto community."

So they cater to their largest customer base by selling a repair section with a block bar welded in the wrong spot and no feed ramp lmao.  Brilliant.

I'm sure I'll find a build thread, I need to locate a barrel before I really get moving on the CZ26.  I want a 9mm threaded one.

I'll probably start the CETME next since I already have the barrel for that, and I can get a PTR-91 receiver for reasonable money.

I'm thinking of selling my UZI parts kit I bought over 20 years ago.  I don't think I'll ever get around to building any of these kits.  What's a fair price to ask for it?

I made some progress on the CETME/91 hybrid, but I'm waiting on help pressing the barrel in.  I'll start a new thread when I feel like I get it moving along pretty well I think.  I'm pretty sure it's gonna need a good muzzle brake

I need to find someone round here with a CETME that I can play with. I like the look of them. The wood and all. I know someone with a 91 and I’m not crazy about it. Just don’t like the balance. I don’t k ow why but every time I see a CETME I want one. Lol

Squirrelly idea-still wanting to do a build, might build it around a .45 bolt. Anyone ever seen an Uzi barrel in .400 Cor-Bon?
