I was using a Craftsman three-box stack that wasn't big enough. Bought the HF roller the OP got, now I need more tools.

That HF box is a really nice unit for amazingly little money.

1st car was a 64 Barracuda, 2nd car was a 99 Civic Si. I strayed back to Chrysler on 2 Dakotas, then bought the S2000 new. I've had it the longest at 14 years. I added a 92 Si with a ITR B18C/GT3071R last year that is much quicker than the yellow car, but it's loud and has no AC.

In this shiny "industrial grade" box from craftsman resides almost  $4k worth of Craftsman tools.  Some, like the box and base set, we're purchased with Craftsman's 50% off program for technical students, others were not.  Thankfully, I  paid cash for everything, because even though they were bought with anticipation of working on Big Rigs, I ended up getting a job working in a state job where all tools were provided.

One of the boxes at home and a roll around in the corner. Have an identical blue Macsimizer bottom at work. Big green rig was a CL find from a retired tech. Had to send a wrecker 100 miles to Houston to get it for me. $3500.00 was a bargain even if is was 11 years old. Probably $18,000.00 off the truck new today.

http://i609.photobucket.com/albums/tt171/duc-man97/IMG_20160118_201721_585_zpshm9oyuwf.jpg

Took it completely apart and cleaned it inside and out before putting it in the shop. Cleaned up pretty nice and had the 2 inch maple top planed and refinished to remove all the stains and beat marks.

I am just a home gamer so I've got a Husky version of this. Don't think my compressor is even 3HP. Since OP wanted organization: Top is everyday misc stuff. Sockets/ratchets with hammers on top. Wrenches. Screwdrivers. Pliers and some other stuff I am not remembering. Misc drawer. Wiring/electrical. Misc drawer. Bottom has router, router bits, sander, and skil saw. Most of my power tools just get thrown under one of my work benches. I also have a couple of the Gladiator cabinets from Sears that hold misc hardware, files, sand paper, spray paint, gun cleaning stuff, and who knows what else. Sears has these cabinets on sale right now with SYW rewards cash back and I've been thinking about picking up two more for storage.

I'm a poor person, here's my humble contribution:

Cheapo Menards 4' work benches, then I just bought a bunch of 2x6's, ripped the rounded edges off of them, planed them all to identical boards and dowel pinned them together for better tops than the pressboard nonsense. I'm pretty happy with the tops considering I have ~$30 into the pair of 'em.

Dont mind the disassembled RD-350

I'm no luthier, but don't you worry just the tiniest bit about scratching the guitar stuff?

Here's my ghetto solution for protecting a guitar. It involves bath towels that SWMBO retired from human rotation and a "suede" shooting sandbag for the neck.

Not posting a pic of my generic red Harbor Freight box that is overfilled and needs one of the sliders repaired. It generally has screwdrivers in one drawer, box/open wrenches in another drawer, sockets & tq wrench in another, etc.

Edit: I lied and decided to post a quick snapshot a few minutes later.

I have a username there. No posts yet. In about 3 years im going to finish my shop build that i started in 2003 with my high school lawn money. Saving my first post for that epic build thread almost 20 years in the making. im going to double it next year (quonset style shop), insulate it with spray foam, do central air, and use the harbor freight box/bench idea.

Started out at 18 with a 26" craftsman stack, then went to a hft 44" roller. 10 years later I can proudly say I have never worked in a shop, nor once paid to have a vehicle repaired.

Harbor Freight 72" with 4 side hangs.  Also have the Harbor Freight 5 drawer cart.  I beleive in spending the $$ on tools and not the box - but then again im not opening every drawer 100 times a day.

Just bought a house and moved everything into the basement while renovating upstairs/building a garage:
