It was made as a demonstration of what they could do. Basically, updating something that was first created in the mid-'80s.
Magpul said back in 2008 that it would not go into production. |

I know at least one has been made in the Philippines out of an airsoft gun. There's pictures and a video of it floating around out there. If there's one I'm gonna bet there are more.

Magpul takes on so many oddball artsy projects it's a travesty they don't do runs of frames, or parts kits.
I would literally donate part of my liver for a kit version built out of a Gen 2 Glock. |

My Mac10 is pretty flat, I would imagine anyone with any machining skills would be able to make it look like a box.
