Why so we can bail them out again? I will continue to buy as many American products as possible. Union made or not its better than a foreign economy.

Nissan, BMW, Toyota, KIA all built new plants in the US. That's real investment. GM, Ford, Dodge built new plants also - in China, Mexico and Canada. It used to be " buy American, buy union". Now that the Asian companies built US plants, they try to make you feel guilty about "profits" going overseas. Nevermind that the capital spent in the US (American worker wages, outside vendors, utilities, municipal taxes, etc) FAR outweigh any "profits" that "go overseas. If you can't knock down the wall, you dig under it. If you want to reduce the influence of unions in politics, you have to reduce the influence of unions in general. Funny you never saw a bunch of union guys chanting "union made!" standing around a burning Chevy Volt. |

Over the years I've bought 11 new vehicles––not one has been UAW made––-Nissan––Mazda––and Hyundai is all I've ever bought––-currently have a Hyundai Tuscon––––I did have a couple used Chevy's in the 80's but there were POS's from the get go because it was all I could afford at the time.

Never again will my money go to a UAW manufactured vehicle. Teaching my kids at an early age too. Besides them watching our Ford Expedition lose three transmissions and 1 engine in a car less than 75k miles and 4 years old... AMF!! |

Grammar aside, how you vote as an individual is beside the point. The UAW is a political machine in the service of social democracy, sometimes to the extent of subverting the law (four decades of living in MI including volunteer work as a GOP Poll Watcher ). |

Why would a Japanse company "send the profit over seas" and convert the currency when they could simply reinvest the american currency here and expand thier operations? The yen is rather strong at the moment.

Absolutely because, if you know anything about minority owned businesses, you'd understand that most are the result of the worst sort of intrusive crony-protectionist regulations. |
