RTM JEST during Cobra Gold

Royal Thai Marine Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Pairoj Prasansai, Recon Battalion, Marine Division feeds cobra blood, which can be a useful source of energy, to Sgt. Jerry Clark, squad leader, 1st Squad, 1st Platoon, Company A, 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment during a jungle survival course in Ban Chan Krem, Chanthaburi province, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 17, 2013.

why does every thread on arfGD get turned into some bicker festival over nothing like a bunch of angry hairdressers?

Generally speaking eating raw animal flesh is not a healthy thing to do, there are a gigantic shitload of diseases that pass to humans through uncooked meat and blood, either from injestion or into a cut or scratch.

This has been known for centuries.  Look it up

so what's all the hubbub about?

I don't think those marines were promoting a cobra blood diet so much as they were promoting being fucking drunk and having nothing to do with themselves

Not me. If you have a gum issue that causes bleeding, recently bit your tongue, ate a potato chip recently that wasn't chewed and scratched on the way down, or have an ulcer that venom has a way into your bloodstream.

They drained the blood and poured me half a shot and filled the other half with moonshine then stuck the BEATING heart in it. Then down the drain! Wish I had taken pictures...
