Just a fun thing. Big bore guns with modern weapons enhancements. They put smiles one faces.

Subsonic 45-70 still hits like a freight train. Lots of uses for that.

It makes perfect sense as all rifles need to have this look as well as their counter parts in wood furniture, offered at the same time. Truly a perfect offering.

(GF asked me after the Lewiston, ME shooting, showed me a meme on social media of a 30 round magazine inserted into a Mini-14 and a 30 round magazine in a AR-15 and asked if they are the same. Now this is after I worked nearly a year in the largest gun store in my state and a ammo online distributor for few months, and I shoot my stuff every month, yeah. She says huh.

Same.

Something like the new production Guide Gun, but in .30-30 would be pretty sweet.

I mentioned this is the last thread.  I like it and the price isn't terrible.  I bought my Henry X series during covid.  It took the better part of a year to track one down local and I paid $850 for mine.  Add on approx $200 for the handguard and $200 for the top rail/sight set and it's about where this is at and it's a 45/70.  I believe the Henry X series prices have gone up as well.

I fucked up the front sight while installing the X-sight.   I wanted 1/2x28 anyway, so I paid a shop to chop it from 17.5" to around 16.5" and thread it 1/2x28.

It's a fuck ton of fun, and pretty damn quiet suppressed.  I let folks shoot it often and most think it had a squib the recoil is soft and the report so quiet.

Whose lever is that chase?   Given the amount of lead I have, that would be "ideal".

Both! I bought my Henry .44 X for travel to ban states, hunting, fun, a camp gun and fun. I was looking for a regular carbine and found this. The pistol grip stock is a lot more comfortable and I'll get a suppressor someday so I'm happy with it.
I still need to install my RPP handguard, I really just want it to attach both a side mounted light and a side mounted sling. The plastic Henry furniture is actually pretty solid though the mlok mount isn't straight. I also want to add a QD sling mount on the side of the stock and either get a stock bag or screw on a quiver.

Make that in .44 Mag and get the price a little closer to $1k and I’d definitely buy!

RPP also makes a .22 handguard if you don't want to drop a lot of money on the gun. I bought one along with my .44 handguard because it was 'in stock' and 'on sale', took me a month to get it. The bolt they sent is also too long so it doesn't install correctly, I put the wood fore end back on and stuck the hg on a shelf.

Do you live in a city?
Is the largest thing you'll ever need to clock a whitetail, or a 300LB drug addict?

Other people have much different needs that don't exist in your neighborhood. They may or may not choose oddball looking guns that launch big bore heavy horsepower.
Other people might just like to toss big bullets and want a rain resistant stock.

Either way I'm all for it
