The soft steamed bun slathered with tartar sauce and a slice of American cheese...
The only thing better than the Filet-O-Fish is the Double Filet-O-Fish. |
|
If I'm in the mood for some quality seafood I will splurge on a couple once in a while .
|
|
It's been a while (2010's) since I had one.
Tasted good back then. |
|
The Filet-O-Shrimp sandwich that they sell at McDonald's in Japan is better.
But yeah, from time to time I crave a real Filet-O-Fish sandwich (since it has been more than five years since the last time that I visited Japan). McDonald’s copycat Shrimp Filet-O (aka Ebi Filet-O aka ?????? aka Ebi Katsu burger) |

God help me; I like them.
I'm under no illusion that a FOF is in any way "good food". I'm ashamed, but that doesn't stop me from eating one every now and then. |
|
I used to love them, but the last couple I had were like fish-flavored styrofoam.
|
|
I enjoy them every so often, just had one yesturday that for some reason I did not. I do not under stand how they are like 4.59 or something like that, when you can get a double burger for less than 2 bucks.

For me, it’s the Filet-o-fish. The best fast food sandwich. I even ask for extra Filet-o-fish sauce packets and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige.
One time I asked for Filet-o-fish sauce packets and they gave me three. I said, “Wow, three for free!” and the nice friendly McDonald’s worker laughed and said, “I’m going to call you 3-for-free!”. Now the staff greets me with “hey it’s 3-for-free!” and ALWAYS give me three packets. It’s such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local McDonald’s restaurant, I go there at least 3 times a week for lunch and a large iced coffee with milk instead of cream, 1-2 times for breakfast on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I’m in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even dip my fries in Filet-o-fish sauce, it’s delicious! What a great restaurant. |

If I recall correctly, the filet O'fish is cooked when it's ordered, no sitting around. Damn, now I want one. It's been a few years since I had one.

Yes they are OK.
I wonder how long has it been since this fish was near sea water. Then I think maybe they sell so much of it that what they cooked today has not been away from the ocean very long. Maybe it is much fresher than I thought then I go ahead and buy it. |

Wife likes them. I don't.
But I don't like fish in general. Rebellion against my Catholic upbringing I suppose. |

I haven't had one in years and it was pretty good then. Now I want one. Thanks OP.

I like them, but you have to take it for what it is. A carbohydrate sandwich with a hint of fish flavor. I haven't had one in years
|

Delicious. Needs to be 2 bucks.
Double quarter pounder deluxe meal fills you up. But need the filet-o-fish added to make it a meal. |
|
In 41 years of life, I have never had a Filet-O-Fish sandwich.
I always associated it with those gross frozen fish sticks my parents used to feed me as a kid. Further when I discovered the catfish po-boy, all other fish sandwiches ceased to exist for me. |

I like them because they are usually one of McD's most consistent products.
For the price they charge, they should have a whole piece of cheese on them, though. The double ones are usually only $1 more. Just not a fan of McD's so I don't eat them very often. Quoted: If I recall correctly, the filet O'fish is cooked when it's ordered, no sitting around. Damn, now I want one. It's been a few years since I had one. Culver's fish sandiwch is much better.
But McDonalds is acceptable. |
|
I'm old. I started eating them in the early 70s. My tastes have changed a lot over the years but they're just as good today in my opinion.

Double quarter pounder with cheese deluxe is divine. Add a FoF as apppetizer along with 6 piece McNugget. One bite o fish. On bite o chicken. Nom nom. Now on to the fresh cooked quarter pounder with cheese deluxe and large fries. |

One of the few things beside coffee that I will order IF I had to go to McD.
