I have a pretty good grasp of imigration laws, It is illegal to enter the United States through any point not a designated border crossing. Thats about all there is to it at the simplist. Now if you have private land on the border, it's your right to patrol and secure your land from tresspassers. that seems pretty damn simple to me to.

Here is another idea. SInce the NG is busy in a place called Iraq, why not use state defense forces. I know Texas has one and I'm sure a couple of other border states have them too. You know that militia thing that the second amendment talks about. Yah that one. Why not call them up and have them patrol the border as a means to help out BP? Oh wait thats right the polis won't let that happen....

3.  The fact that some idiot takes a pot shot across the Rio Grande is not reason to declare war on anyone.

No one is questioning the people tasked to defend the boarder.  We all know the problem lies in Washington.

I have no doubt it's been going on for a long time but even our BPAs will tell you Washington isn't doing what it needs to do AND it's not allowing the agents to do their job.  Hell, the BP Union is helping agents find different careers!  That tells me something is seriously wrong.  How about BPAs being sued in civil court by illegals?  Washington is letting that happen and turning their back on the very agency and men/women that are tasked with patrolling the boarders.  

When BPAs were fired upon in the past the word was handed down to "stay further back".  WTF?  That's the solution?  Agents patrolling the high ground in AZ have found what could be desribe as ROADS leading into our country.  Land owners along the boarder in AZ have to put bars on their windows and doors, they call BP daily, they lobby Washington to tighten down the boarders and their plees go unnoticed and illegals are given more rights than the land owners.  Some land owners have even been arrested for protecting their property!  Washington just doesn't care.  I know the BP agents are busting their ass but they'll never make headway unless Washington changes it's policy.  

The system is broken and it's not looking good.

And for those whiners who say they would get their "sniper rifles"  banned by using them, how far are we talking, range wise?  I have seen people shoot out to incredible ranges with sharps and high wall rifles with nothing more than a decent tang sight.

Zero tolerance only applies to young school children.  Convicted murders, drug dealers, robbers, rapist, deathrow inmates, hardened criminals and general low lifes all deserve a second chance so why not illegals?

Yes it is a major problem and has been for a good  while. Yes people have been entering our country illegally for a great many years but  the influx has increased to ridiculous proportions. This situation I think is going to be a major focus this year but I doubt if anything will be done help end this dreadful invasion of our borders. In my opinion , when those that have been sworn to uphold the law fail to do so,then you are morally obligated to do the job that is not being done. This will be a problem for all of us in the coming days, nothing here people didn't already know just wanted to say my peace and tell all you guys down there godspeed. I have family down in Texas and worry sometimes what the future holds.

GM would, Ford vehicles are almost all made in the US or Canada, not Mexico.
