We’re pathetic. We all see old fucks like this that can hardly drive down the neighborhood street and we put them in charge of a $6 trillion/year federal government.

Do you think the Senate staffers actually running things want some bright independently minded guy or do they want the most pliant, hanging on to dear life for fear of the Devil sock puppet that modern medicine can prop up?

BREAKING: US Capitol physician: "I have consulted with Leader McConnell and conferred with his neurology team. After evaluating yesterday’s incident, I have informed Leader McConnell that he is medically clear to continue with his schedule as planned. Occasional lightheadedness is not uncommon in concussion recovery and can also be expected as a result of dehydration."

Would that 'US Capitol physician's' name happen to be Fauci?

Hold up, it is totally normal to have to need your own neurology team in the first place?

not a single one of them believe that. they never have.

*edit: i guess in the case of biden, mcconnel, feinstein, the mental decline could be severe enough at this stage that i won't claim to know what delusions they are under. but until they completely lost their marbles my previous statement is true.

Not even close.
Addison didn't get the seat until the mid-80s and peaked at Senator for one of the Top-5 poorest state's in the US.
Biden has been inside the Beltway as a Senator since the early 70s, and served as a VP.
Biden's money is far longer than Addison's at this point.

But both of them need to go retire to a nice Managed Care facility. It's beyond embarrassing at this point.

He could have not run again. But he chose to, because the $ he can get by graft and the power is too much of allure.

I don't feel sorry for him at all.

Just like I don't feel sorry for pudding brain Biden.

Unfortunately, we have an electorate completely blind to age as is evidenced by the abundance of Trump supporters here.  Not one Trump supporter cares that Trump is 77 years old.  Most the Democrats don't give a shit that Biden is  80.   You people wouldn't hire a 70 year old man to watch your kids for an evening or want one as your Uber driver, but you'll turn over your lives and fate to one as President.  It would be hilarious if it wasn't so serious.

We need to amend the Constitution so that no person who has or will reach the age of 72 by the time an election is held can run for office. If you haven't made your contribution to the Republic by the time you're 72 then you missed the boat.   We put a lower age limit on holding office and damn it I think it's time for an upper age limit.   Those with little to no future left shouldn't be dictating the future for the rest of us.

Disagree on the cutoff limit. Plenty of very active and VERY mentally acute 72 year olds out there.
Rather, I would set the limit as "No persons greater than 76 years of age may serve as President of the United States. Should a President reach the age of 76, they will resign from post and the position shall pass to the Vice President for the remainder of the elected term."

Lessee…

Kentucky has a Dementiacratic governor.

If Mitch resigns, guess who gets to appoint a pro tempore/sitting senator until the next election?

Mitch is out in 2025 anyway, IIRC (off-cycle election for 2026 for Senators) or something.

But, if there’s already a “D” in his slot, the voting machines, bots, illegal aliens, about 90%of POC and 100% of dead people are going to “vote” for that “D.”

It’s how it works.

The most telling thing to me is he doesn't blink during whatever episode he's having. You blink without having to think about it just as you breathe without thinking about it. Serious medical stuff is going on.

The governor has to choose from three names given to him by the executive committee of the state party that the US Senator belongs to, in this case the Kentucky Republican party. He has to do it within 21 days. The Kentucky legislature slammed this law down his throat 2 years ago, overrode his veto. Democrats were very salty about it.
