EDIT Looking for links to buy the OKC-3S. Anyone know of any deals? My initial googling didn't come up with a lot

Well, since it takes M-16/AR-15 bayonets, you've got three choices.

OKC-3S
M-9
M-7

590A1s have bayonet lugs.

Only the 20" barrel models have the lug.

18.5" and 14" barrels, regardless of model, do not.

A M7 is fine. If you plan to leave it on in a last ditch attempt to "repel boarders" get you a plastic M10 sheath and just remove the belt straps. They can be had very cheap.

This the M7 works. If you try the M9 it is a little loose so you i would have to apply a O ring to keep it snug with the M9

I bought it new. It came with bayonet lugs, but no bayonet

Top is a S&W M9 - a little less expensive than a Ontario M9 bayonet

Lower Right is a Vietnam Era M7 bayonet.

Lower Left is a UAE M7 Bayonet - it is incredibly sharp. For pure sticking potential I would pick this option.

Please note, the Marine Corps OKC-3S requires a spacer on the magazine tube to fit properly on a Mossberg 500/590. The handle is too long.

There are variants of all three bayonets; sawbacks, bloodgrooves, finish, etc.

Some do, some do not. I have seen both. It appears there can be about 1/8" variation in grip length.

Also, as someone posted above, some OKC-3S have variances in the inner diameter of the bayonet ring.

You can get it through euro-military, but it 'aint cheap.
They also sell the M.95 leg carrier for it.

Try to find an Ontario. If you want something REALLY cool (but a little on the expensive side) try to find one of the discontinued Zero Tolerance bayonets.

I had to make a spacer for my 590 and OKC3S.

GG&G sells a light mount or something that goes between the magazine cap and the tube which should work as well

I have a ZT-9 from when LAPG was selling them for $120 or something. It's cool, but it doesn't fit on my 590. The muzzle ring is not far enough away from the body to fit.

Besides, OKC-3S is mo betta in every single way.
