I always feel weird walking into there to get pens and paper after knowing what goes on in there. We had two gals doing that. It's a bodily function too. Or, just for fun, hang the sign on the door and lock it when she's not in there and see what her reaction is to her not being the only one who's allowed to do it. Why can't see just go milk in the bathroom stall... or in her car in the parking lot. Or give her stupid kid formula like other people. She doesn't care enough about the kid to stay home with it and feed it and be a mother... so why bother with the whole breast milk thing. Whatever good it's doing healthwise is countered by the daycare the kid is in. IIRC for health reasons if an employee is a nursing mother the employer has to provide a private area that is NOT a restroom. ETA-would you want your sandwich prepared by someone sitting on the toilet? By saying a nursing mother should pump in the restroom that's what you're saying she should do for the baby. |

Stop the ripping on breast feeding.
The wife pumped for the first year of both our children. Breast milk is by far healthier for the children and saved us $thousands over formula. Wife used to pump in the sick room at her job. She'd had to pump multiple times a day as those puppies would get painfully engourged. And yes, they will spray involuntarily...usually when a crying child is in earshot. Must be some survival mechanism, kind of interesting. |
