I finally saw it. I liked it but the criticisms of DeNiro’s performance are reasonable. He does move like an old man and no amount of cgi will change that. This is the best performance Pesci has given. Ray Romano did a good job too. Break it up like a mini series and it’s worth watching.

Don’t forget Jim Norton playing Don Rickles, too.

I actually recognized the act but I couldn’t place the actor.

I have no interest in  wasting money on any Robert "Dementia" De Niro movie, but I might have made an exception if it got good reviews. Until I heard that it is another Martin Scorsese film. If you've seen one Scorsese film, you've seen them all. I've seen Good Fellas, Casino, and The Green Dragons (I believe Scorsese was Executive Producer) and all of these films have his stamp on them. They're unbelievable, loaded with ridiculously stupid acts of violence (like Green Dragons where the gang walks out of the courthouse into the alley in broad daylight and murders one of their members, seemingly oblivious/unconcerned about any witnesses or bystanders or police officers walking around and outside the court house). And Casino and Good Fellas seemed like the same movie because of all of the same actors playing the same characters over and over again. Like Joe Pesci playing a mad dog, psycho, out of control murderer in Casino. Then there's Joe Pesci playing a mad dog, psycho, out of control murderer in Good Fellas.

Or, if that kind of violence seems too reasonable and businesslike, read about guys like Sam DeStefano.

Saw the previews on Netflix. Looks like a last gasp for Dino, Pac and Pesci.

Retire already.  If you don't have to income by now you never will.  Go get your fucking shine box.

Pesci has been retired lol he came out of retirement specifically just to do this movie and did a fantastic job of acting in it.  The only character that did a "bad" job was De Niro.  I don't even think it was that bad he's just too old for the part.

It's worth a watch, I thought is was much more emotionally powerful than some other mob movies

Hey, did you here that Scorsese and De Niro made another movie about mobsters?

No shit?  When was the last time they made a movie about anything BUT mobsters.

They can complain about SuperHero Movies all day long, but I'd rather watch ANTMAN than another movie about mobsters doing mobster shit, again.

Pretty much spot-on.  It's three and a half hours of the same mobster movie they always make.

I watched about half yesterday, I'll finish it, but its pretty meh. Its like Scorsazi (sp) is old and tired and that translated into an old, tired version of a Scorazi movie. I only looked at this page but I see I wasnt the only one that noticed that Denero was moving like an old man even with his young face... and really big head, which I guess was some hood or something he had to wear to help the CGI. I think they also CGIed their faces on other bodies, sometimes. In the spa scene that one guy looked like a sumo wrestler, and Denero was more built than he'd ever been.

Glad to see they mentioned Carlos Marcello a few times. Now that’s a mobster who needs a movie about his life.

Meh... annoying dialog, lots of people telling other people to tell someone something but they can’t just say it.

Plus not much suspense, most people wouldn’t have know Frank doesn’t die, but from the getgo we know Frank lives, so no real opportunity to few like he’s ever in danger. I mean maybe one scene you feel like he feels he is in danger, but we don’t feel that for him.

Okay all this stuff supposedly happened, okay but it’s not really all that interesting to watch.

He was predictable. He was the least interesting actor in every shot. He’s been doing these characters for too long and every performance feels the same. I haven’t liked a mobster he’s played since Analyze This. Not the sequel, that was crap.
