I'm sure there are a few others...they must have flopped pretty good if I don't remember them lol

Tron Legacy made $400mm WW on a $170mm budget.

There's a sequel in the works:

That's because people went to it expecting something to happen.  Then they told all their friends not to bother seeing it because nothing actually happens in it.

Highly underrated movie.  Not as good as Aliens but if you like Aliens and 80s and 90s sci-fi in general you'd be hard pressed not to enjoy this movie.

Pretty much all the movies I see here are movies that I always thought were great! Proves one thing to me, movie critics have crappy taste in movies.

Another great movie that flopped was Yellow Beard.

Sometimes movies don't get a lot of marketing or don't get a wide release either.

Margin Call is a terrific movie.

Not sure if it was a flop, but I really liked the original "Dune" from 1984.  Saw it in a theater by myself in Hallandale FL.  Was working a job in downtown Miami at the time.

Impecable taste, sir.  Totally forgot about this one.

Also reminds me of The Bounty with Hopkins and Gibson from the 80's, that's a good flick too (lots of South Pacific titties as well).

The Mist -  based on Stephen Kings Novella.  The ending had me going Holy S**T for about 5 minutes.
The Grey Man - with Ryan Gosling as 6. I do not think it flopped but it was Damn good.  I have read all the books (12) so far.  One part really impressed me as true to form was the 1 handed reload of a Glock when he was in the public square.

You never saw his eyes, and he never broke a smile.

Perfectly in character the entire movie.

Den of thieves - got mixed reviews. Thought it was a very good movie and had convincing gun fight scenes.

Looper - Did well, but I didn't really ever hear about it until one day I saw it on one of the pay channels. Great movie in the sci-fi genre.
