I have never seen Midsommar, although it's still on my list.

Mine would be Japanese horror film "Audition"....I'm out after that one.

Because it was way too long, and all of the characters were awful.

Watching an hour and a half mental breakdown turn into hour of a bunch of dumpy and depressed millennials getting dismembered by Swedish hippies makes for an unenjoyable movie.

I will give credit where it’s due, though. It was very unsettling, which was the goal, after-all (even though it made it unenjoyable to watch).

Back in the late 80's , early 90s, a college friend convinced us to watch "BLIND DATE".

When it was over, I pretty much told him he never gets to recommend a movie to me again, and his recommendations in general are now suspect in a manner I had not previously considered.

Silent Hill 2. Fucking awful and tainted the first.

ETA - I stopped watching the second Star Wars film of the new trilogy about a quarter in. Never saw the third. So add that to the list.

Million Dollar Baby

I watched it out of a weird loyalty to Clint Eastwood. I had no idea what the movie is about. I would have preferred to not see all that.

I'm watching his first, right now. That would be Play Misty For Me. I've never seen it before. It is an okay movie. I'm not sure that piece of California has changed that much over all these years. I have about 15 minutes left. I really do hope this chick gets thrown off a cliff out in Big Sur. It should have happened long ago, to be honest.

Your expectations were too high.  I chose it as a first date movie, and I guess it worked since we're still married.  My premise was to get some laughs out of her... "it looks so bad it's got to be good!"  In that regard, it didn't disappoint.
