Heredity .

the first 40 minutes were pretty good, the last hour was fail at being remotely scary.

It was good for a cheesy action flick, but had almost nothing in common with the book other than the name.

The Bachman Books are some of my all time favorites!

It IS cheesy. But the only way to do that on film is to make it cheesy.

Sorta like Starship Troopers would not translate well to film, so they re-did it in that sarcastic B-movie film style and made it work.
