The BMW version of British Racing Green.

The lines and shape of an E30 will always be beautiful. They really got it right with that body design IMO.

My TK looked good in white.
Don't know what a TK is? Well, if you don't own one and aren't on a forum specifically for that brand of vehicle, you wouldn't. Just like most of us don't know what an E30 is. |
|
If it were stock, I'd say a current BMW color like "Steel Blue Metallic". You know, to kinda look like the car Jason drove. That's a sexy ride.

I highly recommend a color from BASF's R-M brand. Their Onyx HD is fantastic.
Mike F Disclaimer: I work for BASF. |

That is an E30. |

You fucked up when you didn't start with a E28 I am in the search for an E24, E28 is bit down the list (not a fan of four doors). I drove a buddy's E30 when I was in the military, hated it because I didn't know any better. I bought an E36 in 2006 (POS 1993 318is) and hated the way it handled because I didn't know any better. I picked up my current DD, an E46 2004 330xi last year and completely HATE the way it feels on the road compared to the E36...because now I know better. Coming around full circle, I'd love to have an E30 for my next car. Probably not for a daily, though. Admittedly, I love how user friendly all of them have been when it comes to doing maintenance. |

View Quote I would have figured that everyone in GD, could tell you what an E30, E36, E46, FJ40, FJ60, FJ80, TJ, JK, B Body, G Body, F Body, (and I could go on) is. I am a car guy though, so I take that sort of knowledge for granted sometimes. We do discuss these vehicles regularly here FWIW. |

Love the car. Those rims, tho... View Quote Schmidt Th Lines, old school 80's rims. Mine are in 17" though, I really wish I could find some in 16 instead. Finding 4x100 rims in 20-25 offset is a bit tough nowadays unless it is a BBS type rim that everyone already has on their old school bmw's, vw's. and everything else from that era. I like BBS but wanted something period correct that was different. I almost went with some Ronal Turbo rims but then everyone would have been when they saw them. |

I love E30's. Go with Le Mans blue. http://www.stancenation.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/newsnthumb.jpg But those wheels Do yourself a favor. https://encrypted-tbn1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcR5AxXK2PgsbSuHZq3jN4K_Pglp3fDJQY8APxi5_UtcvzdW7fmO_g View Quote Too many people have the BBS RS on the car you posted, the rims you posted are too new of a style for an E30 in my opinion. I went with old school bottlecaps on steriods, Schmidt TH Lines. Not everyones cup of tea (which I like) but they are period correct and not on every car you see. I do like how that blue looks. |
|
Alpine white is my personal favorite.
But since you're looking to go a different direction, Estoril Blue gets my vote |

I see where you are coming from. Go with the Le Mans blue, and re-post pics.... It's the only way to be sure! |

Wheels look like something someone with an affinity for lowriders would put on a car
|

Too many Estoril Blue's out there. The new F30s have that option...

Dunkelsaphireblau Metallic / Alpinablau .........looks great on an E30....
hopefully someone will steal those rims...... |

Lambo metallic purple. I have a gallon of it just laying around. I'll make you a deal on it.

Mine is in Calypsorot, which is close enough to match my Miata's garnet. If I had it repainted I'd go with something like Grigio Silverstone.

Candy apple green would match the style of the wheels pretty well.

Estoril Blue or Techno Violet.
My E30 was Smaragdgrun Metallic. I have no idea what the US version of that was, if there even was one (it was an EDM car in Germany). |
