I was watching that game last night. Great call by the ref! And an even better game by the Note.

Binnington and Hofer are both rollercoaster rides in terms of gritty play. ugh. Cardiac kids to say the least. |

Quoted: Matt Rempe is a breath of fresh air. View Quote Saw a postgame with him, the reporter asked how his first week went and his answer was, “eventful”. Some huge fights, first goal, fun to watch. That bout with Deslauriers was possibly the best I’ve seen in years. Anyone catch the Battle of Alberta last night? It was awesome. Total throwback to the 80s. |

Yeah, that fight was great. Really surprised the linesmen let it go that long.

View Quote Holy crap, what a goal, a lefty scoring across the goalie over the trapper. Freaking VINTAGE Kane. Wow. |
|
Friggin Wings..all of 2nd and most of third they couldn't get anything going on Chicago.
Game ends in an OT top shelfer by Kane. Almost turned it off as it was.a very not entertaining game. |

Caps needed to win this this one against the Wings. Caps are sellers now.

Dude. Beautiful game tonight against the Caps…!
It’s about time we got on the right end of a snowman. Been awhile. |

I think hockey is the last sport where you can punch your "enemy" in the face. And then have a drink with them, and go home happy. For sure! I know the Caps were down a few guys and played last night… but we’ve been in the same situation (and same result) so it’s a give/take thing. This time we were on the right side of it. The suck is we are still without our #1 goalie, Husso… starting to think we have 3 backups rotating in ‘til Cossa can come up and take the starting job, whenever that is. |

Quoted: I think friday will be the deal breaker, you've got 3 games in hand on Tampa who's about to lose to Philly. I'll be rooting for them when they don't play the wings just to see Ovi in the playoffs. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: Caps needed to win this this one against the Wings. Dude could play in any era of the League, and I say that with proper respect. That is a high honor from me. |

Dallas has begun their annual "let's start blowing the last quarter of the season so we can squeak into the playoffs in 3rd in the division".
I've got tickets for tomorrow night against the Jets and they better not shit the bed with this one. |

Big win for the Stars last night. They jumped on the board early and never looked back. 4-1 for the win.
ECHL game tonight. |

View Quote Dunno man, they’re in the top echelon of teams and made a wise move with the Tanev addition. Wings though… argh. Needed last night’s game but spotted the Isles two quick goals and were playing from behind all night. Tomorrow’s going to be a tough one and there aren’t a lot of easy points from here on out to finish the season. We’ll be fortunate to make that last wild card spot. |

Srsly though, Wilson has some skills and plays with an edge - it’s just that once a year or so it seems like he crosses the line with a hit and gets suspended. We all (the rest of the League) love to hate Wilson but he’s a guy every team would love to have. |

These announcers for ABC are so far up Florida's butt I don't know how the players can even skate.

View Quote Yeah… the crazy thing is when the Wings were doing well (as in winning Stanley Cups) they rooted for the underdogs. Wings are doing OK now but here they are rooting for the overdogs that went to the SC Finals last year. Weird. Like they don’t like Detroit for some reason. |

That tells me there are no offers from other teams for him.
There’s good chance his career in the NHL is over. |

Larkin’s out for 2 weeks; guessing Kasper is getting a call-up. He was pulled from the lineup in GR for tonight’s game. Doubtful they’d trade him so guessing he’s getting a few games in the Bigs.

The trade deadline is Friday. I have been reading up on the potential movement the wings will make. Sounds like a Forward or a solid D man.
I have heard Pavel Buchnevich (STL) and Jake Guentzel (PIT) names pop up but I don't know much about them. |

I know the potential Guentzel brings, but I'm concerned about just how much they'll trade away for him. I can't imagine the Canucks have many draft picks left for the next 5 years after the last 2 years of trades. I also don't like the idea of helping those fuckstick bruins make a run either Canucks after Guentzel "They're trying to find a way to make it work," Friedman said of the Canucks' interest in Guentzel. "I don't know how I would characterize the horse race in terms of (which team) leads and who doesn't. But I do think they're in on it, I think they've discussed it with Pittsburgh. "For example, if they do do something with Pittsburgh, Boston and themselves, where all three teams are involved — Lindholm goes one way, Guentzel goes another way and other (players) are involved to get to Pittsburgh — I do think that's a possibility and potentially has been discussed. "Again, I'd hate to handicap it but (the Canucks) are definitely in (on Guentzel), and they're trying to be creative." |
