I'll be driving up on Friday from Tallahassee. My Father flies in from Miami to Tallahassee so he can drop by the house and see Mrs. Miami_JBT before we head north.

Can't wait, I just bought parking passes for all 3 days.

I wonder how POTUS being there will affect security?  I can't imagine the secret service allowing weapons at the ILA forum.

I'll be there. Possibly more info to come in relation to other things. However...

I'll be a panelist at The Gun Collective panel presented by NRA along with Tim from Military Arms Channel, 22 Plinkster, Mr. Gunsngear, Four Guys Guns, We Like Shooting, IraqVeteran8888 and more.

Saturday at 1 PM rooms B304 and B305.

Giving away guns too!

No guns, no knives. There will be a TSA cavity search prior to entering.

I had to dig around to find the website for one of the parking garage companies, then dig on their site to find where you could prepurchase parking for the event.  I need to go back and find it again and purchase parking for Sunday, since the wife just turned in her notice at the job so won't have to work that day :-)

GWCC site has a link for parking pass purchase. And there are shuttles running from hotels nearby.

I wish I'd thought about parking when I booked my room last year.

if you are going to see him at the conference, leave all weapons at home or in the room, everything must be removed and tagged so you can get it back

knives, lighters, most everything

I'll be in late Wednesday night with a buddy as we're touring Oak Ridge Natl. Lab on the way down. We're just doing the show floor on Thursday, leaving Friday morning. Have a hotel nearby for 2 nights.

Missed last year but did Indy and Nashville years before. Really looking forward to it.

When I went to see Trump last year I wasn't allowed to bring in my bottle opener on my keyhchain. Secret Service didn't care but local PD had an issue with it. FYI.

I had to walk my keys back to my car.

Other than CNN Center are there other places where we can't carry?  I don't want to leave my gun in the car or hotel room so if I'm going to be frequenting any of those places I'll leave it at home, which I hate doing.

I went a couple years ago, did nothing but walk the booths since I couldn't care less about any celebrity appearances or seminars/talks.   It was good to finally meet some folks that I'd seen online and around for years, and express my thanks to some vendors in person like Randy Lee of Apex, Les Baer, etc.

It was nice to be able to get hands on most every gun at the show.

11AM I think. And you might as well plan on getting in line early. If it is anything like last year, the security process will take a while. We got in line about 2 hours early, took almost that time to get in the arena. If memory serves, they even delayed the start for about 45 minutes.

Thanks. I assumed it would be a long wait, now that the president is there it is probably going to be a punishment line. We're driving in Friday morning so I'm trying to time out when I need to leave here.

I wonder if there will be any protests.

There wasn't anything that I saw last year, at least for Trump. But then again he didn't seem to have a chance at this time.

I expect Watts and her acolytes to set up a small protest several miles away from the venue.

There are less parking options available now than there were at the start of the week.  I don't envy those who will just show up on Friday.

We had considered riding MARTA, but I like having my vehicle available if necessary.

If your hotel is close enough. There is a listing of hotel shuttles on the AM site.

ETA:  shuttle info is actually available via the app.

It isn't the end of the world if they don't show up.  Easy to register at the show with your membership card.  And even if you do get the badges in the mail, make sure to swing by the registration booth to get your life member ribbon.

If this is your first Annual Meeting, swing by the Ares Armor booth.  They usually have some nice badge holders if you don't like the basic black Midway USA.
