I made a pledge in another thread that if LaPiere and Cox were removed from office that I would buy a life membership for myself and for one other site member that ARFCOM deemed worthy. That pledge is still in affect.
I was told that my help was not needed to remove LaPiCox and that I had no need to worry about the matter. So, I am not worried. Nor am I anticipating having  to pay up.

Are you currently an NRA member?   And do you have any filter?
@hebrew_battle_rifle

I reread this and it is a pretty jerk post.  I am genuinely curious if you are a member or a voting member?  I am also wondering if you will let others dissuade you from making the NRA a better place with your efforts?

This is hard for me to say. I was really looking forward to meeting some of yall down there. I've taken a new job and a slight pay cut for now.  Financially it doesn't make sense for me to drive down there now.  Not to mention the lack of vacation time.

Filter?

The people that dissuaded me from anything NRA related are NRA leaders and their sycophant supporters. I was an NRA member for nearly 2 decades. I finally got over the battered wife syndrome and saw them for what they are. If you are old enough to remember the Reagan era and are still a staunch NRA supporter, then you are one of those sycophants.

My pledge still stands.

Adam and Tim are worthy of votes.  They will help change the NRA from the inside.  If you are stuck living in the Reagan era, I am not sure what to tell you.  But it is 2018, things change.  They change faster when people work and help to affect the change.  You can be a part of that if you choose.  Or you can live in the Reagan era if you choose.  I really don't know what else to tell you.

So assuming this isn't just BS so you can keep your wallet in your pocket, what pro-2A groups are you supporting then with the funds that you are itching to donate to the cause?  SAF?  GOA?  A state-level org, like VCDL?  Pro-2A political candidates?

Not a serious question because we already know the answer.  I could leave my wallet in my pocket constantly if I only donated to causes who I agreed with 100%.

And I donate to all of those other listed orgs as well as being a Life Benefactor and routinely donating to the ILA.  Card carrying member of those orgs.  I may not agree with everything they do, but they are more with us than the people against us...and there is no shortage of those folks.

Enjoy the sidelines.  Wear sunscreen.

Well that was appreciated.  And regardless of how dry or jerk sounding my posts maybe, I am trying to have a constructive dialogue here.  I really wish you could see fit to change your mind and understand if we all don't pitch in and work together the FUDD's will continually own the NRA.

We all have to get petitions signed.  We all have to vote.  We all need to attend meetings when possible.  Be active.  If you are, thank you.  If you aren't maybe consider it?  How many people could you influence or get signed up?  Strength in numbers.

Sure am and I'll be doing my part.

And I'll still be pissed off when we are stuck with the same hacks running the circus and more rule changes to make it harder to remove them.

In February the NRA ballots should start going out in the monthly NRA magazine of your choice.

If you are a member for 5years straight or more, or you are a Lifetime member you are eligible to vote.  If you do not see a ballot in your magazine but think you are eligible call this number 800-672-3888, that is the general contact number of the NRA.  Find out why you didn't get your ballot in your magazine and request one if you are eligible.

If you are eligible to vote, VOTE ONLY FOR THOSE PEOPLE YOU FEEL COMPELLED TO VOTE FOR.  If you fill in all 25 of your votes just because you have them, it could actually work out against your chosen candidates in the long run.  You have 25 votes, you do not have to use all of them and you can't use more.

For example my ballot, at this time, will only be marked @supermoose and @scdonttreadonme, or Adam Kraut and Timothy Knight.  These are the only two people I am voting for, unless somebody can persuade me that somebody else needs my vote.  I have only researched these two candidates and they are worthy in my book.  You should research your own candidates, I would look at them first though.

Resources that helped me research them were
Timothy Knight   and

Adam Kraut   But your vote belongs to you, use it wisely.

Thanks for the bumps you might give this until the election takes place

Tim does not post on here often anymore. SCDonttreadonme is his screen name I believe. A really good guy and well deserved of our vote. Ask the Colorado guys (pre 13ers) about him.

I'm not seeing the support for Adam Kraut like I did last year. I've got four people who are going to vote for him, but last year I saw Adam featured in a lot of pro 2nd magazines. This past year not so much. After what happened last year I'm feeling we're going to get stuck with the poop end of the stick.

Adam is attracting attention from the other side, that's for sure.  That's why Marion Hammer had to come out with her editorial against him.  Of course, that meant Jeff Knox could bring up the dirty laundry from 1997 and how the amount of money Wayne gets from the NRA has gone up considerably over the years since they kicked his father off the board...

YOU MISSED IT.

SCDontTreadonme

Tim Knight is very worthy.  Just google him and Colorado recall.  Does he post much?  Not much I guess.  Does he stay busy and do a lot?.....YEA HE DOES.  They are the only two worthy of votes IN MY OPINION, your vote belongs to you.

I ran petitions for both guys to get nominated, collected some signatures for them like many did, and here they are.  Google will help you learn about Tim.

I am hoping this isn't a post from days gone by about "If they don't post here, I ain't voting for them".  Not to project that on you, but it was actually thing last go around.

First ballots due out Jan 20.  If you don't get one, call them.

For those who don't realize, they will come in your chosen NRA monthly periodical.  It is issued only to you.  The names are moved around on different ballots.
