Haha, I don't recall the first, but we put down a bunch of Stroh's in HS.

I doubt any GEN Xers can remember what kind of beer their dad handed them at five years old.

ETA since my Dad is from the PI it was probably a San Miguel

Gen Xer here, born 1971.  My Dad rarely drank and only a beer or two once in a while.  My family history is filled with alcoholics.  He did give me a few sips when really young.  I believe Pabst was the beer.

I can say with a fair amount of certainty it would’ve been Old Milwaukee. It’s possible it was just plain Schlitz, but unlikely.

Dad worked for Schlitz when I was young.

I don't know.  Probably a Coors (not a Coors light) at the lake when I was a teenager.  That's all my dad drank at the time.

Blatz. The old man used to let me sip the last shot or two out of quart bottles. He would also let me have a short beer occasionally when I'd ride with him on his check delivery rounds in the summer. I think I'd seen just every seedy bar in Chicago by the time I got to HS. Why seedy bars? because that is where he used to find his construction crews at lunchtime.

In1992, I was 16 and my cousin and I started sneaking Miller Lite out of my uncle’s beer fridge. He would buy 3 or 4 cases at a time, so he didn’t miss a few here and there. I remember it tasting like absolute swill but I refused to not finish an open beer, as to not be labeled a sissy, a faggot or a homo. Today, I’ll have an occasional Miller and remember those good times in his garage.

Miller Lite, like Bud lite and others, are a watery beer like substance.

My mom used to make my Dad's vodka tonics when I was a kid while he vacuumed the pool.  One day she left to go hang out at my aunt's house and he wanted a drink so I went and made him one (zero clue as to proportions).  I made them to the best of what I remembered watching my mom do and I made what I thought tasted good.  Apparently they were really strong because when my mom got home he was asleep in a lounge chair by the pool and I was in bed.

The first beer I drank with Grosfater was Carling Black Label. No too bad as I remember but anyways.

Grampa's home brew or dad's Oly most likely.

Giving kids sips of beer was a cultural thing.

My wife ripped me a new one when I gave our daughter her first (and last) sip.

That was my Grandfathers favorite beer in the 50’s and 60’s.
My first was Schlitz on tap. Reason I almost throw up every time I smell beer.
