The GIANT retirement community in Florida known as "The Villages" has an entire visual vocabulary of sexual invitations. I had relatives that lived there for over a decade and on each visit they would drive us around in a golf cart explaining what everything meant (a partially opened garage door, coach light color, number of flamingos in the yard, etc). I always thought it was and urban legend until I started having conversations with other unrelated residents. Those creepy old non-gilfs not only confirmed the info but actually wanted to "demonstrate it". Yuck.
That place also has an abnormally high level of STD transmission. It is basically the movie Cocoon for pervy old swingers.

The only swingers I was aware of were either realtors or had some other kind of socializing required made up job where they don’t produce anything. Like they interject themselves between others. Matchmakers, middlemen, home renovation and design consultants. Literally between other people too I guess.
Truly toxic. A guy I worked with had his wife drag him into it. They had kids and he didn’t want to eject but later he developed substance abuse issues and likely killed himself. It was investigated pretty hard so I think it was doubted. Big life insurance payout which I thought didn’t happen with suicides. |
