A few questions come to mind: - Is the dancing intended to distract us until the rocket launcher or mini-gun comes out? - Do we get the login for the Tiktok account of our new dancing robot? - If the robots don scrubs and dance are they heroes too? These are the things I need to know. |

That was awesome. The progress over the last 10 years is very impressive. It just looks uncanny because we identify those as humanoid and they definitely seem too solid to be moving that quickly and precisely. Also it's shot on a very high def camera probably at 30 or 60 fps and that always gives things an uncanny feel. Look at the engineers walking in the background, their walking movements look a little glidey and weird just because of the framerate and resolution. There's no motion blurring at all. This isn't even a hardware tech advance over previous demos, it's more of a software demonstration than a hardware demonstration. Well maybe they should cause it's cgi There are subtle things with cgi that stand out. If you're a gamer you can tell. Shadows and reflections aren't perfect. Just look at the safety glass fluttering cause of the rendering. It doesn't take much to take model's and textures and make stuff looks 95%real now a days with out much effort |

Yikes, that is awesome and scary. Just imagine what they might be building for military applications. I can imagine some weird walking crawling spider robot with robot arms that could tear you apart, and simultaneously blast you with a mini-gun. If the SJW retardation doesn't ruin us too soon, we might live to see the day when this stuff dooms us instead. Either way, our future is...epic(?)

They have never put out anything bullshit or fake, that I am aware of. I don't know why they would, they have been one of the leading edges of robotics for...forever and simply don't have a reason to fake anything. Boston Dynamics had goverment military contracts to develop their robotics for them with funding from the defense department, before Google bought the company. Google doesn't want anything to do with military related work, so they terminated the contracts. Google then sold the company again a year or so ago to a massive bank in Japan and Hyundai. The "dog", model named Spot, has already been sold to police departments. |
