not to mention, 2 finger grips with 35k psi ammo are worthless. cant hit shit with them.

seriously, everything sig has made since the 226 has been complete shit.

I got my first chance to handle these today. I'm mostly indifferent.

The 43X is significantly larger than the P365. It compares okay to the Shield, though. It will probably be a decent CC option for some people depending upon their preferences.

I find the 48 to be more interesting in an academic sort of way, but I wouldn't expect it to sell as well unless it turns into something of a ban state service gun.

The only thing that baffles me about these is the finish. Why the hell did they choose a silver finish for CC guns?

I saw someone hypothesize that it had something to do with import rules, no idea how accurate that is.

I wasn't wild about the silver slide when I saw it in pictures but after buying a 48, it's growing on me. It looks better in person as it's more of a flat grey color. I really wish Glock would bring back the frying pan finish as their standard coating. Best finish ever.

Whoever thinks it has to do with import rules is wrong. The G43 is smaller than both the G43X and G48, meaning they have fewer points awarded to them, but are still imported just fine.

Is magazine part of import points? Mabye they have zero domestic production for the new magazines.

We're at SHOT Show and Mrs. Miami_JBT also got in on the fun.

GLOCK 43X & GLOCK 48 Review in Español

Mrs. Miami_JBT handling the new GLOCK 48.

Today is a special treat since the Misses is stepping out from behind the camera and is giving the female shooter a look at the new G43X and G48 in both English and Spanish.

I just want to say that as a female shooter and someone with "tactical hands". I find GLOCK's new Model 48 is just the ticket for someone like me. I currently carry the Model 42 as my EDC but I've been wanting something a bit bigger like the GLOCK 19. The problem is, even with the Model 19 Gen 5, the grip is just a little too big for me. But the Model 48 is just right. I've always had issues with trigger reach but the grip circumference of the Model 48 makes it so much easier. I don't have to constantly readjust my grip. It just fits naturally.

GLOCK 48 and GLOCK 45

Like I said, the Model 48 fits my hands perfectly and as the Ben, the GLOCK rep said. I don't have small hands. I have tactical hands. I really think this will be a hit with the gals at the range and I hope my hubby gets the hint and gets me one.

For our Spanish readers, please by all means and enjoy GLOCK explaining why the new G43X and G48 are great choices for the female shooter.

Explain the Glock 26 then, which has less room for your fingers than the P365. Oddly, I shoot pretty good with my G26.

With the 12rd mag most adults can get a full grip on the P365 and it's still shorter than the Glock 43X/Glock 48.

The only things wrong with the P365 is where it's parts are made and lack of pre-release testing. The concept is excellent.

The Glock 43X/48 having such limited capacity for no good reason is a critical flaw.

It's a critical flaw for you maybe, but it's what a lot of us have been looking for.   The grip is long enough to get all of my fingers on it.   It's significantly thinner than my G19 which is my favorite Glock.   It's going to be lighter and print less than a 19. Glock is going to sell a shitload of these.

At least this will motivate SIG to release a P365X. They could make the grip an inch longer and have a P365 variant the exact same size as the Glock 43X and it will hold 15 rounds.

Well, considering that the TangoDown release could get good and stuck if depressed fully on a Glock 43, I wouldn't use it in either gun.

Yes, the G43, G43X, and G48 slides and frames are all interchangeable.

If you own a G43 and a G48, you can have:

G43 (short slide 6-round gun)
G43X (short slide 10-round gun)
G43L (long slide 6-round gun)
G48 (long slide 10-round gun)

I just picked up my 48 with night sights from the LGS. It is as nice as I'd hoped. I also held a 43X while I was there and it feels just as nice.

I really like the G43X and G48 a lot more than either the G43 or G43L. The G43 grip has always been too small for me and with the G48 slide on it, it feels really unbalanced (it might feel different without the TLR-6 and with a full magazine, though). The G43X/G48 frame, however, fills my hand well and both slides feel great on it.
