I’m sure it’s been said, but I’m gonna predict a Glock USA made 5.56 mil-spec AR15. Nothing exciting, but it’s another gun they can offer to LE agencies who already issue their pistols. Will be sold to the public as well.

Cool story. It how about the hundreds of thousands of m&p satisfied customers out there? I’m a Glock guy.... but all of the current polymer guns from Glock, s&w, sig, hk, etc. are good guns. If YOU don’t like one, that’s you. The rest may disagree. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I’m a dad with seven girls. My circle is relatively small but it includes everyone at my gun club. We’ve got one Vietnam Vet who still carries his 1911 IWB with NO holster. Every one else shoots Glock if any pistol at all. And the sheriffs deputies all shoot Glock. A couple guys like revolvers. But not one admits to having a Smith & Wesson auto loader. Oh shit. There it is... I didn’t say they weren’t any good.... I said I don’t like Smith & Wesson. |

They're making some really good strides with the 43/43x/48 and the Gen 5 guns in my opinion. If they do bring out the big bores in 10mm I would jump on a 20. But, they don't really innovate. As someone said earlier, they make Glocks and they're good at it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

It’s been the same pistol since gen 1... it’ll just have a diffferent grip texture and new gen marking. And probably alternate from last gen on finger grooves/no grooves on the grip.

I disagree that it had been the same gun. Until gen 4 I would agree. But the Gen 5 guns are a step beyond what Glock had been before. I have always carried one on duty, but enjoyed other stuff at the range. The Gen 5 changed that, now they are almost the only pistols that go to the range with me.

What makes Gen 5 rise so high in your opinion? I'm just curious. |

I want a 43x sized 40 s&w. Doubt they will but I still want it.

View Quote Then I came around to the conclussion that the only modularity that matters for a mass-issue sidearm is to be able to mount a flashlight, but it still made sense for civilians. Now I think even for civilians, a modular pistol like that makes little sense. Various changes to a pistol don't dramatically change its characteristics like they do for an AR15. |

OEM metal mags like the aftermarket G43X ones that hold 15 rounds would be pretty trick....that would actually be a pretty big deal.
G43X sized .40 or .45 would be cool too though much less likely. .25 ACP in Glock 43 or 43X sized gun. With 20 rd capacity! It will likely be the .22 everyone thinks. Also- Gen 5 is not much of an improvement over Gen 3 in my book. Trigger is meh- not a big improvement on the couple I have used. One was better than a worn in Gen 3 trigger, the other worse. I think the G45 is stupid and a G17 slide on a G19 frame would be better. I have put thousands of rounds thru Gen 5's in 17's, 19 and 19X/45 models, so not a small sampling. I dislike the ambi slide stop where I want my trigger finger to be resting in a ready position. (Learn to run it left handed- it isn't hard with training and practice even with Gen 1-4). Orange mag follower- big deal. Accuracy isn't better with the new barrels either from the ones I have used. Anyhow- couple more days we will know I guess. |

I would buy a Glock .22 cal in about one second. But it damn well better be accurate.

You can fit a CZ 75 double stack mag in a G43. Glock single stack mags with 2 walls (one metal liner, one polymer exterior) are the same width as other companies' single-walled metal double stack mags. A company is currently working on a 15-round metal factory-length mag for the G43. I'm sure it's been said in the 15 pages but my money is on a glock PCC.
Would be innovative (for Glock since they don't innovative) and wouldn't take much of a stretch engineering wise to make it happen. My money is on a PCC |

View Quote Add a small beavertail and a system of grip inserts that isn't a complete afterthought. Also modify the ergos (undercut trigger guard, glove bevels on frame, etc) to better suite the way many people shoot nowadays. Or go full ZEV and offer a chassis gun that can be scaled up or down based on personal preference. Also change the design so that the gun can be field stripped without pulling the trigger. Yes I know this is a training issue.... Of course the kicker is to do all this and keep price more or less in line with what it is now. Can they do it? Sure. But will they? Glock 46 has most of the stuff above. Combine it with a Glock 47 so it'll work with 19 and 17 slides and they'd be on the right path. |

Fun fact and I don't think I'm the first to leak it, it's a line of backpacks and "range bags".
I do wish they would do a Gen 6 gun, make it a 17 with extra finger grooves and no light rail. Literally the opposite of what everyone really wants (which is a gen 2 gun with a light rail). Just to troll folks. |
