Some would argue any sights on pistols are worthless. Pistols are for point shooting brigands robbing the telegraph office. I'm pretty sure the majority of fighting rifles issued to American pros today have some kind of illuminated reticle. Most violent crime happens after dark. Low light training is hard to come by for us ordinary civilians. Take advantage of it if the opportunity arises. |

Sig Academy, Tactical Rifleman, and many others offer low light and no light courses. |

Once more OP proves he knows jack and shit… And also- wrong about night sights not being used on rifles as well. Have used them plenty. The first time I had to deal with a hostage situation right after I got rifles issued out, I ordered a 60 lumen Surefire weapon light (best they had at the time!) and Trijicon AR sights… And I equipped plenty of agency rifles with Trijicon sights back before red dots were more common as well. If I had a serious use rifle without an optic these days, it would get night sights. I view anyone carrying a serious use pistol without either night sights or a red dot as an amateur. Much like I would view a cop showing up for night shift with a Maglite in 2023….not prepared for the situations they are likely going to need to deal with. |
