All the repub reps and most of the repubs in the state have their heads in the sand saying "it's not happening" like retards. Nut up, shut up and do something about it instead of whine and complain. The entire state is ruled by a mob of 3-4 counties around Portland. It's so bad that the rest of the state might as well not vote though they had to cheat a little harder to win anything this last time. Was very close for an election in this state. Then we have retards that vote against things because they think it won't happen. I hard of people voting for the 114 BS because they carry 10 rounds so might as well limit everyone to 10 rounds and I heard people saying they voted against greater Idaho and state of Jefferson because they didn't think it would pass.... In the county that passed 2A preservation ordinances by well over 80% in favor (highest in the state) because Portland and the politicians of the state cannot be trusted. People that are too stupid to use their own brains and vote however there voting pamphlet or CNN tells them to. The left hasn't invaded. The left just has enough people and enough "votes" in small areas to keep things going their way. There never has been a center or right gov in this state since it went all mail in voting. Wonder why........ |

The spotted owl was put on the ESA list in 1990. The NW forest plan in 1993 Dramatically cut logging on national forests. Between the two logging on state and federal land was severely curtailed, and with it the money that flowed from the forest to the state treasury. Once that happened any political clout that rural counties had ended abruptly. They were now liabilities not assets. At the same time, you had the rapid rise of the tech industry in Washington county. The industry and its employees spin off incredible amounts of money in the Portland region. This gave the liberal nutjobs all the political and economic power to run over anyone who doesn't agree with them. the fact is that rural Oregon has a small population therefore they are irrelevant in state politics. |
