It's really cool listening in on the ref's when they are huddling, I've never heard that before

Looking forward to the other XFL game on Fox now.
This one was pretty damn good. |
|
No coach challenges! yay
Updated OP with a quick cliff notes soo far |

Its good i like it.
Football is football. I also noted that first replay decision is straight out of the National Rugby Leagues "bunker" system. Its not perfect, they just make quick calls on what they see and you can hear the discussion. All done in under 1 minute. |

Did a great job getting the camera into that fumble recovery pile, that was cool.

Sideline reporter talked to Elijah Qualls as he stroked the fumbled ball, said he's not giving it up to anybody, LOL. Game balls carry the offensive team's logo, so fumble recoveries and interceptions are customized trophies.

I'd give it a year, maybe 2 max.
TMZ style interviews get annoying after awhile. |

Open mics are great. Silvers on his ankle "It hurts like a motherfucker"
|

How do you walk off the field under your own power 2 scores down for the last play of the game
|
|
This is surprisingly good. Or I'm rusty since I quit watching the nfl a decade ago.

|
I watched the 4th Quarter. I definitely need to get to a DC home game. It looked pretty good to me. Keeping the fumbled ball as a trophy is cool.

@azerious58
Might as well make this the official XFL thread bro. |

The overtime rules are interesting..
Overtime shall consist of 5 “Rounds”, staged in alternating single-play possessions as is customary in NHL shootouts or MLS penalty kicks. A “Round” will consist of one offensive play per team. Each possession starts at the opponent’s 5-yard line and the offensive team has one play to score. The team with more points after 5 rounds is the winner.
if the score is tied after five rounds, then it goes into sudden death until one team scores and the other doesn't in a single round. View Quote |

Holy crap!
Just learned that Oliver Luck is the XFL CEO and Commissioner! Go WV Mountaineers! |
|
|
Go Roughnecks!
The Texans always choke, might as well enjoy this league. |
|
Damn! What a hit! And no flag.
In the NFL that probably would've been a flag. |

So much better in between plays than Collinsworth paraphrasing interviews we don't get to see and talking about whose mom makes the best meatloaf or Elway trying to sober up while struggling to hide his hatred for Joe Buck. View Quote |

They are doing some interesting things. I hope they do well. I think there is definitely room for the XFL. They're there to play football, the way it should be. |

It was Vince also back then. It did not stick as it as too WWE-ish. He is actually trying to have a serious-ish league now. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

What was the failed pro-football league a few years back? Not the arena football league, but wasn't there a failed XFL about 15-20 years back? That wasnt the best time, but today with the NFL shenangigans and Anti-American tones, this is a great time to have a Football League who focuses on just football and not SJW hopt topics. Plus so far its not as pussy as the NFL woth kickofss and quarterback protection. Which I Personally love. Unless you meant the World Football League. |

Not a bad crowd at the LA-Houston game. Would like to see the upper decks filled though.
Anything that puts a thorn in the side of the SJW NFL is good. |
