I use a feather pillow that's probably 20 years old.  It's not the best.  We got a fancy pillow when we bought our daughter's mattress set, but my wife will not allow me to use it as it lies beside my daughter in bed to keep her from rolling off the bed.  A feather pillow will simply not serve that role.

I have rather broad shoulders I guess and am a side sleeper.  I end up putting a shoulder into the pillow and shoving it into the headboard to create support for my head.

It’s not like it’s difficult to find a retailer of pillows. Amazon will even deliver them right to your doorstep. Go forth and get a new pillow.

Also, the dust mites in your current pillow are legion.

Running the 2nd 5k of the year this Saturday

Goal is to get my endurance up to being about to do a 10k nonstop this year. Next year I'll work on getting the time down.

I am definitely not and never will be a sprinter But I want to round out general fitness by being able to run a reasonable distance.

The energy of running with a group helps. You support a cause, usually get a new t-shirt, and there's often beer after it's open.

Plus this one is another mud/obstacle run and those are a blast.

They set up water stations and medical tents and helpyou out when you look like this? (I ran the half the day before so this was after 39 miles in 2 days up and down Pikes Peak)

Running, especially distance running, is one of the few physical sports where women can hold their own against men. The difference between the top tier is really insignificant.

Women handle the pain better too.
