Correct me if need be, but for taper interface, well, any muzzle device, shouldn’t the threading run to the shoulder?

The threads can’t run all the way to something like a shoulder. They need room for the cutting insert to leave the part (runout). Most muzzle devices have about .100 of undercut to allow for this. The muzzle threads that I specified have the major diameter running all the way to the shoulder with no undercut. The threads terminate within .06 or so of the shoulder. This alleviates any issues with shims tending to fall into the undercut area.
