Quoted: We take a lot of stuff for granted and get complacent when carrying on with our daily lives , attention to detail and awareness are sometimes over looked View Quote And sometimes it's just your time. Positive update for a change on daughter's friend.
She slowly improving, not sedated, ventilator is "at the lowest setting", lungs are mostly cleared of fluids, still have to fix the hole but that can't be done until other things improve, she's stopped signing "die" and has got some sleep. Mother's mental health appears much better, father is still AWOL. Friends are helping a lot, wife has been asked to take care of the kids one night next week, it's the night of our 20th wedding anniversary, but it is what it is. |

I've got a new work/dress/maybe every day carry knife.
Stupid light, super slick, I think "svelte" is the appropriate descriptor. And not made in the PRC. Attached File When I was talking to my friend that was carrying one and I first noticed it I wasn't sure if it was a knife, a flashlight, or a pen. Turns out it also makes an excellent steak knife when a restaurant gives you one of those garbage giant, blunt, serrated pieces of garbage. |
