Rusty is at it this morning. There is a hearing scheduled for tomorrow.
Today we answered the lawsuits filed against our client Deshaun Watson. Mr. Watson has been adamant that he did not engage in any improper conduct and we strongly believe him. Therefore, the answer to the question of whether we are saying that all 22 plaintiffs are lying about the allegations of sexual misconduct by Mr. Watson is a resounding yes. View Quote |

A woman complained MLB pitcher Trevor Bauer roughed her up during sex on two occasions. Bauer provided evidence that the woman requested it with text messages she sent him saying stuff like "give me all of your pain" and that at no point did she tell him to stop during the encounters. She claimed the reason she never told him to stop was that she was "in shock."
Based on this relatively weak claim from ONE woman MLB has had Trevor Bauer on "administrative leave" ever since July 2. One woman. One. |

FOX Sports Radio: Why There's a High Chance that Deshaun Watson Will Face Criminal Charges
"This has been a pretty big week on the Deshaun Watson front. There are subpoenas that have gone out and I don't have any reason to believe that the reports are false. The attorneys have confirmed that the grand jury subpoenas have gone out. There's an expression that lawyers have that 'even a grand jury can indict a ham sandwich.' It's important here. There's no kind of evidentiary proceeding, the prosecutor can bring in whatever evidence they want. There's no opportunity for cross-examination so they paint a very one-sided picture of the case and everything comes in. So every bad fact about Deshaun Watson is going to come in, it's not going to be a 'he said/she said', it's going to be a 'she-said' type deal. If a grand jury thinks there is sufficient evidence to have some sort of criminal proceeding here it's going to go forward. I spoke to a DA recently and it's a 'ham sandwich' type deal, it's not 100% but maybe it's closer to like 85-90%... If you're a betting man, -450, -500 that Watson is going to get hit with criminal charges sooner rather than later." |

Obviously this is a very serious case with potentially 22 women being sexually assaulted by a serial predator, but Hardin's "look, Watson didn't rape EVERY masseuse" defense continues to crack me up.
It's like your client being accused of being a serial killer who targets Uber drivers so you present 4 or 5 of the 100+ Uber drivers your client has used to say your client didn't murder them specifically as if that somehow proves he didn't murder the others. |

Is there some kind of league rule that is forcing the Texans to stay out of it.
They are a billion dollar franchise, surely they could find him a better lawyer. |

View Quote Haha, yeah that's another one. The reason his client couldn't use the licensed massage therapist that underwent strict COVID protocols that his team hired and instead hired 50+ women (many of which were unlicensed and some who had never even given a massage before) off of Instagram was because of a global pandemic. In what universe does that logic make sense? |

View Quote That's what makes it even more bizarre. This is supposed to be a great lawyer and yet to anyone who doesn't want to blindly believe Watson's innocence he is doing a horrible job. At least his public statements anyway. I mean it's almost as if someone at his firm has their dimwitted 18 year old child serving as an intern and writing some of this shit. |

Apparently, with nothing really happening with him, he is going to be a healthy scratch each game.

If it increased his trade value = yes. Well, if Twitter is to be believed, the racist whites running the Texans created this story because a black man had the audacity to stand up to them. Even them getting the biggest trade haul a team has gotten since the Walker trade still wasn't enough to extinguish their hardcore racism. |

The New York Times is reporting that the Houston Police Department have spoken with at least 10 of Deshaun Watson's accusers.
The Houston Police Department has spoken to at least 10 women who have accused Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson of crimes from unwanted touching to sexual assault, according to records obtained by The New York Times. The records are heavily redacted, and do not reveal the names of the complainant or the suspect, but they were released in response to a request for all records related to Watson or his home address in Houston. A brief summary of each complaint is one of the few lines left unredacted in the documents. "Complainant stated that the suspect touched her inappropriately and exposed himself," read one. Another said: "Complainant was sexually assaulted by the suspect. One suspect. No arrest. Complainant willing to prosecute." Houston police spoke to the women between April 2 and May 20 of this year, and dates of when they say the offenses occurred ranged from September 2019 to December 2020. Watson has not been charged with any crimes. View Quote |

It has now been over half a year since the allegations about one of their star players sexually assaulting many different women came out and the only steps the NFL has taken is to grill the alleged victims like a defense attorney.

Quoted: Quoted: Amazing to think Texans are parking Watson in limbo for this season. Tank for Rattler! I saw he was benched last Saturday after playing like shit (QBR of 11.3), his backup came in posting a 98.1 QBR and led OU to a comeback win after Rattler had them down by 3 scores late in the 3rd. After the game everyone was celebrating except for Rattler who was channeling Lt. Dan on News Year's Eve. And it couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.

Potential 3 team trade rumors getting hot:
Tua to Washington for a 1. Watson to Miami for 3 1's and 2 2's. |

The trade deadline hit 20 minutes ago.
The Texans couldn't trade Watson. |

Reportedly the Dolphins were trying get the 22 women accusing Watson of sexual assault to sign NDAs.

In the NFL you can have 22 women file claims of sexual assault against you OVER HALF A YEAR AGO and the league does nothing. Hell, if anything they are helping you.
In college you can be a projected first round draft pick on the #1 team in the country that's 6 games away from playing for a National Championship and if ONE rando accuses you of sexual assault with no evidence presented, no arrests made, and no charges filed: you get immediately suspended indefinitely from the team.
