Every time I see stuff from Azur Lane I assume it's an anime, get a little excited, then rediscover it is some Chinesium mobile game.

Hong Kong Chinese.

The British ship bias in the game is moderate

There is also an anime going on right now it's like on episode 5 or something

It is quite difficult when there is a whole bunch of tier 2 destroyers launching Torpedoes in your general direction while being controlled by experts that are practicing, I got really good at it dealing with only 4 guns, it made me way better in higher tiers with accuracy.

I remember the victors of the Battle of Tsushima Straits being the Japanese torpedo boats, the first real engagement for this class of craft-- I still wonder how much Russian iron is on the bottom of Port Arthur/Liaoning Bay--

Although I doubt op is into such high art as abnormal pregnancy. Or the masterful work of HeroHeroTom and musashi-dou.

That's interesting.
A very different cultural embrace of an old warship than the western way.
The anime art has the ship transfigured as a female in Navy (skimpy) uniform?
Seems a little strange.
Thanks for sharing.

That's common in sailboats... not only water drains faster, also gives you a more horizontal footing to the uphill side as the vessel heels. But sailboats are supposed to heel 30° or more as a matter of course.

@LittlePony - Nimitz respected Togo and ordered that no bomb touch the Mikasa.  Post-war Nimitz donated money for its preservation.  Hence the acknowledgement in the form of a memorial dedicated to Nimitz.

Togo said he felt the spirit of Nelson flowing in his blood.  Nimitz similarly said he felt the spirt of Togo flowing in his blood.  So is Nimitz Nelson?

Not against it.
It just stands out oddly compared to the reverence shown USS Constitution, USS Missouri, or HMS Victory.
Makes our way of looking back at things seem kind of stuffy.

You should see the War Memorial of Korea in Seoul.  Somber, stark, and sobering...until you reach the section about the modern Korean military, with chibi anime characters for all the branches.  It’s...odd, to an American.  But the Koreans are hard core, so whatever works, I suppose.  Just a different culture.

How typically Japanese to embrace some sort of  anime mascot, She is best ship waifu.

At one point I had over a 65% win ratio with the Mikasa in World of Warships player-vs-player, for about nine months I was considered the best Mikasa player on the North American server, the only real notable video game achievement I've ever had, but I stop playing World of Warships because of other bullshit that is just inherent to the game

But she is now on the English server of Azur Lane, i will have to get the PC conversion for it since it is a mobile game

I think we nuked them a little too hard....

Also fucking lol... I'm more surprised that you (or anyone, really) were able to get enough hits with The Angry Titanic to have a decent winrate.

What's on the nose of the B-17 Memphis Belle?  And that was mild compared the pornographic art on thousands of aircraft that flew into combat.

[insert USMC dragon-fighting ad here]

But then again I have actually watched anime and know that the average Arfcomer's perception of it is seriously flawed, and based on the idea that anime=children's cartoons because American cartoons are almost universally aimed at a completely different demographic than anime is.
