Thrawn, and the Rogue Squadron books written by Michael A. Stackpole are okay - even good - but the rest is trash, rightly discarded by Disney.  If it wasn't for the "Star Wars" name, most of it would never get published.  (Almost every Star Wars video game is trash, too, and I played them all).

I was referring to the sand people women and children Annekin slaughtered when he lost his shit. When he later massacred the Jedi younglings they weren't armed with light sabers or suicide vests. Questionable at best, outright murder considering Annakin was a trusted member of their order, week should have been protecting the weak, not slaughtering them.

After the debacle of Episodes 1-3, I'm done with Star Wars. I won't spend another dime on them. George Lucas lost me as a fan for good. I did watch one preview of the new one, and it looks like doo doo. I'm not even going to click on the threads about the new movie by the fanboys here. Star Wars ended in 1983.

But I respect your right to choose your own entertainment, as much as it may suck.

A coup doesnt need the old leader to remain alive. When Diem bought it in Vietnam they destroyed his palace. They were the most experienced Jedi knights around, all experienced combat leaders who'd served in senior command billets in high intensity combat operations. If they wanted the sith bitch dead outright four Jedi masters could have easily accomplished it.

Palpatine didn't have guards when Mace showed up, Lucas only added them for the Yoda fight.

Poppa Fett shot a flame thrower at a legal guardians for justice, unprovoked as Mace had done nothing to threaten him personally, instead trying to capture another sith lord who he could easily have killed if he so choosed (saber to neck). But again he showed restraint. Pretty weird that the bad guys keep doing good things and the good guys keep doing bad things, huh?

For all you know that could be granola bars. They arent activated so there is no way to know if they are weapons. Considering Anakin was a member of the Jedi council they had no reason to fear him until he sliced the first couple into pieces. Hopefully some had the sense to defend themselves after but it obviously wouldn't do any good because that were fighting a combat proven warrior who had turned to the dark side.

As a teenager, the Jedi told him that love, lust, and longing for a mate is wrong. Instead of instruct and explain. The Jedi simply went crazy Taliban on him and basically threatened to cut off his dick. He was confused and conflicted. He then is thrusted into a war as a teenager and given command of living beings that are to be treated as Droids. And once again, on top of all that they pump that bullshit that he's the "Choosen One" and will bring balance to the force by killing he Sith.






So they give him a trainee. He trains her, shows her the ways of the force, and develops a close bond. What does the Jedi do? They automatically think she was the bomber, expell her from the order, and want to have her executed. No trial, no gathering of evidence, no chance to prove one's innocence. She had to go on the run and prove her own innocence. What does the Jedi? Sorry for trying to kill you Asoka, let bygones be bygones. Yeah, great example of peace and harmony within he Jedi Order.






What then happens? He gets married but can't express his joy about it. He has kids on he way but can't be a proud father to be because of fear. Fear of what the Jedi will do to him and his wife because he already saw what happened to Asoka.






The Sith came in and simply told him, "Hey look, you're worried about your wife and kids? We support you having a family and caring for them. It's cool bro."








Also what kind of prophecy brings balance by killing all of he Sith and Darkside Users? Balance means an equal number on both sides. He did bring balance. The Jedi were reduced to an equal number as the Sith. The Jedi wanted the prophecy to allow them to go all wahhabist radical on he Sith and kill them like ISIS is killing.

Both sides have a problem with means justifying ends, though going about it in totally different ways.  They're both manipulative and seek to further their own goals by oppressing others.

I love the movies and the games, but if there's one thing they teach you, it's that the world is full of a whole lotta grey and when you seek to live on the extreme end of either end of that spectrum, bad things happen, even if it's unintentional.
