I’ve only been to CA once and it was winter. Don’t know the roads or towns in between but we drove from San Fran to Kirkwood to Heavenly and back to San Fran. There were so many acres of burnt land and or areas with new growth along the way. I know I’m exaggerating but it just seems they would run out of big trees to burn with fires going on every year and the huge swaths of land I saw burned away.

Mother Nature is responsible for part of the fires, but there are multiple confirmed incidents of arson also being a cause. We have seen arson used for political gain/protest in this area of oregon before.
This happened a year after I got out of high-school, iirc they caught a bunch of the people involved. Imo, this is one of the fringe groups that have globbed onto the current blm/antifa movements.
