Cancel all your ongoing subscriptions. If you look you will see that you have a one time payment on a website and they will count it as an ongoing subscription. I had to cancel 18 of them and only two or three were an actual subscription at one time.

I went to close mine last week only to find out they still had an old phone number as my contact and no apparent way to get around it to access my account and close it. Haven't used PayPal in a couple of years or more. Anybody here who isn't technology challenged have a suggestion?

The response I received was that it can take up to 30 days

I had a fraudulent charge that PayPal would not credit a while back so I went through my bank to get my money back. I now cannot close my account.

Card usually has an expiration date of the end of the month. Used said one time use number to buy something at amazon. Of if you don't use it by 10/31 card is expired and paypal account is useless. I use one time use numbers all the time for those renewable charges like XM. It forces them to negotiate a lower rate instead of auto renew. |

Just went to close mine. I asked them to delete my data, and I get an email that says:
Thanks for letting us know you want to delete your PayPal account data. We've already confirmed your identity. Now, we'll look at your account history, and email you usually within 30 days to let you know the status. Certain factors, such as federal, state, and local laws, can affect what data we can delete. Hopefully it won't take 30 damn days for them to get everything straightened out. I don't have an outstanding balance, no card through them, and no recurring payments to anywhere using them. I've only ever used them for transfers when it was the only option for something I was buying online. |
