Boiled is preferred but fried is pretty awesome.
Growing up in VA Hubs fried peanuts were a favorite. |

Roasted VA jumbo.
I never understood the boiled peanut thing. I felt like they ruined good peanuts by boiling them….

Raw makes my stomach hurt but I like the flavor. Never had fried. Roasted obviously is the most common I've had. Don't mind boiled either, just not a thing in Texas.

But they always reminded me of black eyed peas as far as flavor. My wife says they taste like dirt. I sorta get it. You’re either going to like them or not like them at all. It’s tough to break through the expectation of what they are “supposed” to taste like if all you’ve known is roasted peanuts. Boiled is definitely different from that. |
