I've read about Ed's Red for years, and I've always thought about whipping up a batch. Tonight was the night.

My version of Ed's Red, which I've been using for about 30 years or so now, is a 50/50 mix of Kroil and synthetic ATF (usually Amsoil but any will do).  Has all the good cleaning and penetrant properties of ER without any of the acetone problems.
