Yes, I've noticed this too, all over the place. Just heard Chuck Todd say it closing out his show today, too!

I live in a small town on LI and people are very friendly and many did always say merry Christmas. But this year I see a big difference. Everyone, and I mean everyone is saying merry Christmas.

There probably wasn't any difference, you're just focusing on and taking note of when you hear "Merry Christmas" this year instead of "Happy Holidays" in previous years.

No. I work have been working for the .gov for nearly two decades. Five years ago I had to send out reminders about being “inclusive” and “respectful” to all religions over winter holiday. I had to shame Christians and secular traditionalist, because the purple hair girl is always filing EO complaints.
