Jeff Bridges, The Big Lebowski. I almost feel bad for how well he played the role; it pigeon-holed him until his phenomenal performance in the new and vastly superior True Grit. And now that I mention it I'm having trouble deciding between the two.

Honestly, I was highly impressed and blown away, that made the movie suddenly damned interesting.

As to my picks - most of the good ones are taken.

This one won't be popular, but I was actually kind of impressed by Madonna in Evita.   She actually kind of nailed it.   Then again, well... I guess that's not too surprising

Gregory Peck in Roman Holiday was his best roll.

Veronica Lake did quite good in I Married A Witch

Cary Grant - Arsenic and Old Lace  (movie is a riot)

Anya-Taylor Joy - The VVitch  (I didn't like her at first after watching Splice- nevermind, got her confused with a diff actress, but this film changed my mind)

Saoirse Una Ronan - Byzantium  (A very good and underrated female actress.  Much more believable as a female vampire than most films)

Alec Guinness “The Bridge on the River Kwai”

Gary Oldman “Dracula”

Jeremy Irons “Reversal of Fortune”

James Garner “Barbarians at the Gate”

Robert Duvall “Second Hand Lions”

Doug Bradley “Hellraiser”  (it really is perfect casting, even if a fluke on how it happened)

Peaked my attention in the Departed. He has always had good moments in movies.
