I seem to recall that prior to the Florida bumpstock ban he was spouting off that they should be made illegal and that anyone caught with one should get ten years in prison. Correct me if I'm wrong. After that I always thought he was a typical chameleon politician saying what voters wanted to hear at the moment.

Any updates on the 3 fisherman murders supposedly over the "motor"?

Quoted: Second reporter asking questions is a dick. "Just a property crime" doesn't merit being shot. View Quote Remember - in Florida the State Attorney (or whatever her title is) can take over an investigation or a prosecution no matter what the sheriff says. Examples: (1) George Zimmerman,; (2) the elderly man who lectured the woman about parking in a handicap spot, and then shot her boyfriend. In both cases the Florida county sheriff's office had cleared them of any wrongdoing. P.S. I admire his pro-2A stance. I just think he just happened to go overboard on this one. |

Quoted: Yeah, but based on what I know about FL. law, the people in the cars could have lawfully shot him as he attempted to jack their cars. But the people who were NOT in their vehicles probably would not have been justified. He doesn't like NFA goodies.
He wanted bump stocks banned. He wants to keep open carry illegal. He took tons of Obama LE money/materials. He's lukewarm on concealed carry. He was against Polk County's Board of County Commissioner's firearm amnesty ordinance. He's the #2 user of Red Flag Laws in the State of Florida. |

Quoted: Any updates on the 3 fisherman murders supposedly over the "motor"? View Quote I kinda half-ass follow this group on FB but you have to join https://www.facebook.com/groups/644450979781953 There is a lot of legal paperwork you can find on the Polk County Clerk's website by googling the names of the accused. The main guy, "Tony" T.J. Wiggins, is getting a lot of paperwork filed on him now, charged with the murders. His girlfriend and his inbred brother are also charged up the wazoo as accessories and such. Many people think the inbred brother will turn. Just about everybody in their family "compound" was arrested, his father, girlfriends, etc, because they were living feral on a wooded lot with no electricity, no water, no plumbing, etc, in travel trailers. Can't remember the exact charges, something to do with a nuisance. Damn, the stink must have been bad. Some people comment on that FB page how nice it must be for them to be in jail to have toilets and showers. That murder case really bothered me. It is something my middle grandson might have done -- met up with a couple of friends to fish, drink beer, bullshit. I hope these people never get out. |

"No one should be shot for property theft?" - GFY. Here's a suggestion: if you don't want someone shooting at you do not try to steal his/her property.
If more thieves were worried about being shot maybe just maybe there might be less crime? |

But his record speaks for itself. He was against Polk County becoming a 2A Sanctuary County. Polk Sheriff Grady Judd said he was a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and advocates that citizens carry concealed weapons through the state's licensing process." But he said he could not support a local law that instructed him to ignore state and federal gun laws. "State and federal laws always supersede a county ordinance," Judd told The Ledger. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said there's no bigger booster of the Second Amendment than him - but he wants nothing to do with the "open carry" of firearms. Judd answered a variety of questions Wednesday at a well-attended lunch of the Tiger Bay Club of Polk County at the Cleveland Heights Golf Course. The talkative sheriff said, that in an active-shooter situation, law enforcement officers rarely arrive before the shooting is done. He said to openly carry a firearm would make that person a prime target of the shooter, not a solution to the problem. https://www.theledger.com/article/LK/20160120/News/811262689/LL He's fine with enforcing Red Flag Orders. Polk Sheriff Grady Judd was not at the meeting, but made a statement through a PCSO spokesperson with regard to Risk Protection Orders. "The Polk County Sheriff's Office petitions the court for a risk protection pursuant to Florida Statute 790.401 when a person 'poses a significant danger of causing personal injury to himself or others; and there are 'specific statements, actions or facts that give rise to a reasonable fear of significant dangerous acts' by that person," read the statement. "The Sheriff's Office follows the law." https://www.midfloridanewspapers.com/four_corners_news_sun/county-commission-votes-to-make-polk-second-amendment-sanctuary/article_82dd2646-42d7-11ea-bf79-d31cc7ae7b54.html Polk County, home to outspoken Sheriff Grady Judd, who calls himself a staunch Second Amendment supporter, has issued more orders than any other locality - 425 through August. A better question than why he leads the pack, Judd said, is why some agencies aren't using the law. According to state records, 12 Florida counties issued none in that same period. Judd points to the option of handing guns over to a responsible friend or family member rather than the government. He likens it to a 12-month "cooling off period." https://www.tampabay.com/special-reports/2019/10/22/dangerous-but-disarmed-how-florida-has-confiscated-thousands-of-guns/ |

What were the motorist at the convenience store thinking? The lady that turned the gas hose on the poor guy, why didn’t she just give the Thug her car and a full tank of gas to go with it. The van guy, he should have handed over his handgun and the keys to his van, what were they thinking. The store clerk, who witnessed everything from behind the counter, should have ran out with the cash drawer and handed it over too, this is still America people, come on! |
