View Quote Great but surprisingly heavy! I guess because it's all steel. |

Cant believe ruger LCP got so many votes.
Dont you fucking read people? It says POCKET pistol and not something you can smuggle under your FUPA folds. |

Walther PK380
Carried one for a few years! Many range trips torturing it, with zero stoppages, and zero cleaning. Probably 8-9 hundred rnds before cleaning! would buy again Stock net pic Attached File |

Another "Other" P3AT vote.
Mine needed the slightest tuning and has been 100% since then. Still wins on weight against any others (not that this makes it fun shooting.) |

Quoted: https://i.ibb.co/FHFBpsq/IMG-6925.png A handsome pistol to be sure. Also too big and too heavy imo. Here it is compared to a G42, a pistol on the edge of being too big for pocket carry. View Quote Berretta 84 for double stacked goodness |

My little pet theory is that most voting anything other than LCP Max, haven’t shot or carried an LCP Max. Maybe it’s just me but I like mine that much. Before playing with one I’d have voted other for sure, but given how new it is, I have to think a lot of the older option votes are from those lacking exposure to the newer option. Obviously there’s exceptions and I’m sure for some people it’s just awful, but still.

For clarity sake how many here actually carry your 380 in your pocket vs holster on a belt or something like that?

Quoted: Glock 42 came out in 2014 LCP MAX in 2021 LCP in 2008 A lot more people are going to own and/or have experience on the Glock and LCP. For the LCP MAX to be doing so well in the poll is notable. View Quote I'm guessing it has more to do with round count than it being actually better. The one I tried didn't shoot good at all in my hands. If I am going to carry something, I at least want to be affective because I am already confident in it's use and reliability. Some people need volume to feel that they can carry something. I need it to be accurate. |

Sold my G42 within weeks of picking up and vetting an LCP Max. Once it was proven to be reliable the G42 was gone. That G42 served me well for many years and while it was a great gun, reliable and accurate, it just did not have the capacity the Max brings to the table. Even with standard mags the Max has almost double the capacity of the G42.
I have zero regrets from carrying the G42 as a summer time gun for many years. It's just the Max in FDE is just as easy to carry, has better sights and more capacity. What's not to like? |

Enjoy your Max, though. |

Quoted: The LCP is 4.12” tall with flush fit magazine. The Springfield Hellcat is 4”. I can’t imagine an 1/8th of an inch being a big deal but I guess the buck has to stop somewhere. View Quote It's a very small difference, but at least in my experience anything over 4" tall will start printing a crease at the bottom of the grip. The big reason I prefer carrying the Hellcat over the very comparable P365 is that the 365 mag base has this stupid little 1/8" ledge that pokes out into the side of my pocket and makes it harder to conceal than it really needs to be. I think it mostly bugs me because .380 is something I only carry if a micro 9mm won't work for some reason, so there's no point to anything that's not smaller. Based on my experience with the LCP 2, the Max is probably a great little pocket gun if you're not viewing .380 as a second choice to a 9mm. I offer that caution about height only because it's been a PITA for me with the 365 sometimes that made me have to fall back on my .380 options. If you're not bothered by 6+1 though, don't count the P238 out. It's a genuinely good shooter in a nice looking package, the sights are much more substantial than the LCP's (Ruger made a reasonable choice to use tiny low-profile sights, but they're still objectively harder to use than the 238 sights) and my only real worry with it is that I have to remember it has a manual safety. |

Everyone knows the only proper Ppk is chambered in 7.65mm. Just kidding, I love a good Ppk and have two 1930’s era Zella-Mehlis guns but they definitely aren’t pocket pistols. |

Ruger LCP with Crimson trace laser grips, upgraded recoil spring XP, stainless steel recoil guide rod, hogue grips.
I'm happy with mines and the 2 times in my 12 year carry with it that I needed it. It worked. |

I voted LCP II but also have a P238. LCP II is easier to conceal .I shoot both about the same.

Quoted: Good choice, all steel construction, good capacity, and accurate. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes All steel construction = heavy. That makes it less suitable for pocket carry. With these dimensions it’s also too big for pocket carry imo. CZ-83: L:6.8 in, H: 5 in, W: 1.4 in In true GD fashion posters are only fulfilling one criteria (usually caliber) and ignoring what they dislike. Now post more revolvers and 9mm pistols you contrarians! |

Surprised that the Glock 42 (introduced 2014) pulled ahead in the end but they have been around a lot longer than the LCP Max (Introduced 2021). If it is possible an aftermarket, steel extended capacity magazine for the G42 seems like it would be a slam dunk. Looking at you Shield Arms! I went ahead and ordered a LCP Max.

Quoted: I know everybody hates Kimber, but their micro 380 is actually a winner. It functions great, very accurate, and looks much more like a normal 1911 vs the Sig 238 and Colt Mustang. If you go and read actual reviews on the Kimber micro, reviews are very positive and often higher than other common 380's like the LCP, etc. https://i.postimg.cc/pdGdYwTG/micro-twotone-catpro.png View Quote Like all Kimbers, it's an attractive handgun. And like all Kimbers, I am sure its an unreliable piece of shit. |

Have and use a Kel-Tec P3AT, but have been thinking of the Ruger LCP Max.

Ruger LCP Max, or LCP Original with improved trigger (Custom or Gen 2) for maximum discreet carry.
Keltec is garbage. Had the P3AT, barrel had screwed up rifling (went smooth bore midway and muzzle end had reversed spin, stuck casings from oversized chamber, multiple failures to feed). Had to pay for shipping twice to send it back, got a new barrel the first time with proper rifling but still had stuck casings almost every round and same failure to feed issues despite brass cased american mfg ammo and different new mags. Keltec told me to shoot it a few hundred rounds, plinked 200 painfully and sent it back again on my dime, still had the same issues. LCP max and all my other LCPs: never a hiccup, run it dirty and shot alot! |
