I lust for a jungle / paratrooper Thompson, cause I think it looks badass, plus the history.
But a semi version is lame, the mags are heavy, and the round is easily surpassed by modern ammo. So I plan on a AR-45. |

I don't want any "useless guns." That's just stupid. I can mention guns that are "useless" that I would never want like all .22 rim fire caliber guns. I've never owned a single .22 rim fire firearm in my entire life and have no intentions of ever buying one.

Batteries went into the pistol grip. Haven't thought about that thing in years, but it was one of my favorite toy guns. And I had a lot of toy guns. |

Quoted: You might have to get the Encore tp shoot 54R. I couldn't get a .303 British barreI dur to it being too high pressure, I think 54R might be a touch higher. I have a .45-70 barrel, have had them in 5.56 and .30-30. Any member who thinks they want a .45-70 Contender is welcome to shoot mine. View Quote Honestly I dont know anything about them other than they are single shot, have interchangeable barrels, and are badass looking. Would probably never shoot the 45-70 but it would be in my collection of barrels. Maybe some day I have a small thing for single shots and I cant explain it. |

I'd like to have a 1911. They are expensive far beyond their worth but I'd like one.
Just not willing to pay for what people are getting for them, when I can buy two P220's for the price of one 1911. |

Quoted: I have a small thing for single shots and I cant explain it. View Quote Me too. As for .45-70 I bought it when IA allowed most any straightwall or straight taper case for deer hunting but only in a handgun. So I got the biggest I could find as a fuck you. 3 years ago they allowed rifles, max case length of 1.8" and allowed exceptions for .45-70, .444 and .375 Winchester since they were legal and popular before. Even shotguns, I can't resist a cheap single shot. Got a Long Tom 12 gauge a couple years ago for $50. They've put a lot of meals on a lot of tables. |
