 If I win, I do swear by God to devote 1M to hosting an Arf event. I'm on record, it's in print.

When the book is written about the causes of the downfall of the USA, one of the chapters will be about the proliferation of legalized gambling.
A sub-chapter will be about sports gambling and its parallels with the Roman coliseum spectacles. Then, as now, a diversion was needed to detract as Rome's debt became terminal to the nation-state, when they lost their wars, and their borders became indefensible. Another sub-chapter will be about state-sponsored gambling using sophisticated advertising to target the poorest and least educated citizens by offering false hope. Described will be how it was legalized under the lie that it would fund better schools for the same poor people's children. I wish everyone good luck. Save some money for the book. It is about $40 in today's dollars. |
