It's unfortunate that we don't have a more portable active denial system in situations like this. Seems like it would disperse crowds quickly with no injuries.
Non-Lethal Weapon: Active Denial System (ADS) |

The US is being lured into a major conflict. The sit reps in the next few weeks are going to be epic.

I have to wonder how hard it would be to defeat that ADS system. They brag about it's lack of penetration - seems like it could easily be shielded. If it is microwave - perhaps a cardboard shield with wet paper towels?
Tomorrow's Biden's "Weekend with Bibi" should be interesting. |

Because we are about to shove a swinging tree trunk up it. |

Can't wait to see how Kamala handles it all. |

Quoted: Media mentioned there were "soldiers" there. They probably meant Marines. What's the protocol for the Marines/GI's stationed in an embassy like that? In a 1979 style assault, do they have any equipment to defend the embassy? I know the Marines are certainly qualified and motivated. But they can't do much without weapons, ammo, orders... Yes & yes - though they should be (have been) recalled. |

I hope that the A-10s have arrived. They could solve the problem very quickly.

Quoted: WTF do we have an Embassy in Beirut??? Whose fucking idea was that? View Quote We have embassies to conduct foreign relations with the host nation, we conduct intelligence activities out of them against the host nation and every other nation that is also operating there, liaison with the host nation military, work with US commercial interests there, provide services to U.S. citizens and their families visiting or residing there, and a host of other activities. The United States first established a diplomatic presence in Beirut in 1833. Following an April 1983 suicide bomb attack on the Embassy in Beirut, in which 49 Embassy staff were killed and 34 were injured, the Embassy relocated to Awkar, north of the capital. A second bombing there, in September 1984, killed 11 and injured 58. In September 1989, the Embassy closed and all American staff were evacuated, due to security threats. The Embassy re-opened in November 1990. |

Beirut was a lovely place by the ocean in 73 when I was there. There was however a tank parked in front of the US embassy. This won’t end well.

The Marines should have killed a few hundred of them, then it would not be an issue again any where in the world.

Quoted: Last I heard it was a Palestinian rocket went bad that hit their own. View Quote Some idiot reporter in Israel initially said it was an IDF airstrike within a couple minutes of the kaboom. The muslims do not want to hear anything else and their media is screaming that headline at the top of their lungs in every broadcast. Now even though there is literal video evidence plus the Israeli radar tracks from their counter battery radar, the muslims absolutely refuse to believe anything other than this was an Israeli airstrike. |
