By "fucking people" do you mean "hungry people?"  Fact is, get hungry enough and you will eat ANYTHING which your body thinks might sustain itself.  Even your best friend.  Whoever falls asleep first . . . loses.

Everyone else who is mewing over this should ponder the fact the Indians believe we are abhorrent beasts because we dare to eat the sacred cows.  Horrified they are.

That is really not why they do it.  Many Asian cultures eat anything and everything, simple as that.  Do you really want to emulate them and their culture of such, or are you defending this practice as some knee jerk attack on PETA.  They need not be mutually exclusive you know, or do you really want to see dogs being eaten here?  I can't stand PETA, but I don't feel the need to defend every act of eating an animal lest I be in their camp.

Eating cat & dog is borderline cannibalism IMHO. The Chinese would eat people if they could.

Let's eat the FSA. Put them to good use. Then we invade China.

Or better yet, feed the FSA to China. Tell them it's a delicacy and a status symbol.

I just told my Pomeranian about this. He now insists that we're having Chinese for supper tomorrow. What have I gotten myself into?

Dogs are made of meat, I suppose eating them is fine as long as they're properly seasoned.

I am amused by the total lack of gloves in preparing the meat.

Sounds like a good reason for economic sanctions and regime change in china. No way America should tolerate this blatant violation of the law. Hopefully the next president had the guts to stand up to them.

WTF are you talking about?

This shit took place in China. How is that a blatant violation of the law?

I'm 100% a dog person, and if this shit was in the U.S., I'd be driving/flying to where ever the fuck it was taking place, and would start stomping mudholes in peoples faces, then walking them dry.

But, this is China's business. What if the Indians were like "HOLY SHIT, THE AMERICANS ARE EATING COWS!!! NO MORE TECH SUPPORT FOR THEM! SHUT THE PHONE LINES DOWN!!"

What people eat in their own countries is none of our fucking business, just like what we eat in ours in none of theirs.

There are enough fuckbags here in this country that are abusing animals for me to spread my righteous indignation around on.

They have like 1/2 our cash, and 5x our population, and somehow this is surprising?

Not my dogs, not my country, not my concern.

I get some feels going on seeing the pictures, but I'm a dog person and I recognize my bias.

I also see another useless hashtag campaign... I'm sure the Chinese give less of a shit what Ricky thinks than I do.

This. It's a disaster of a nation, combining the worst of communism with the worst of crony capitalism.

Not good at all, I mean look at this pic:

That is trust in that pups' eyes, and then they have to go and beat the shit out of it and kill it. Who gives a shit if they eat it afterwards, torturing animals being accepted by a society is savagery.

The Lewis and Clark expedition had to eat whatever they could hunt and sometimes they depended on native Americans to feed them. They recorded they ate every kind of animal but dog from villages was the best meat they ever had.
Interesting, cite?

We were at the Lewis and Clark Museum at Cape Disappointment a few months ago (really interesting place BTW) and remember reading that on one of the displays.

So many of you guys saying it's horrible they are torturing these dags. Im not seeing thee vidence of this outside of one hippy quoted in the article saying it should be called a dag torture festival. The dags in the photos all look healthy and well kept aside from being in a small pen for transport.

I understand the cultural disgust as so many of us keep dags as pets but these animals seem as well treated as any other livestock.

Hmm the gfs little dag has some pretty meaty lookin hams wonder if they have a dag recipe on allrecipes

"Undaunted Courage" by Stephen E. Ambrose.

The expedition really liked eating dog, porcupine and buffalo hump. Fascinating book, full of stuff you never hear about.... like the expedition dosing the shit out of themselves with mercury, to treat syphilis.

Dags and cats aren't humans.

In fact, humans have more in common with the pig which would make you a cannibal (unless you don't dig on swine).
