I use blue Loctite regularly. I have a tube of red Loctite that I put a piece of masking tape on and wrote "DO NOT USE" on, so when I do use it, I take a minute to think "Do you REALLY want to do this"? View Quote Helped a coworker out who made that mistake... then gave up |

It's a Sig, their grip screws are made to come out. Why do you think every P238/P938 with Hogue grips has one screw on each side? No amount of loctite can help you. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Loctite is mediocre for the most part. The owner of the company is a leftist POS. Vibra-Tite blue has been superior in every way so far. Just got a bottle of red stuff, as well. Pump bottles are genius.

It's surprising that shade-tree gunsmiths prefer loctite over vibra-tite. It's qualities are more suitable for firearms applications imho

loctite out of the tube is actually pretty tame. even red is easily broken loose without heat.
the thermoset shit they apply from the factory that is a hard plasticy type shit that comes preapplied on the bolt is no joke. that shit will fight a 1/2" impact the whole way out depending on how much they smear that shit on. |

Just ugga-dugga everything until the bolt head shears off, and then weld it for good measure.

Red lock tite goes on all my lug nuts and brake caliper bolts
Can’t be to safe |

a little JB Weld on top and you will never worry about loctite again
