He was a true entertainer right up till the end.
Always appreciative of his Vegas audience. Rickles was great friends with master filmmaker Martin Scorsese. Rickles tribute to Scorsese at AFI Life Achievement Award. I love the Frank Sinatra story.
"I was a club one night with this really hot date, and I see Frank at a table with some other people, so I go over and say 'Hey Frank, I'm trying to make it with this girl over here, could you help me out and come by the table and say Hi?' So we sit down and we're having a good time, and the meal comes and we're eating, and Frank Sinatra comes up to us and says "Hey Don, how are you?" and so I turned to Frank and said 'Frank, would you quit bothering me? I'm trying to eat over here!'
