I like LaRue's clips best. Got them on 3 different guns.

Good thread.

I've been thinking about researching alternatives.

larue rail clips are the best i have ever used.... hands down.

MUCH more easily configured, lower profile and just plain work.

How many clips does it take to fill up one carbine length rail?

i'd have to count them but i bought the carbine rail kit and have a lot left over after adding my afg and IR laser. basically 1 clip = 1 notch on the rail. so how ever many notches you have is the number of clips.

not the best pics but here you go...

The KAC rail covers won't lock into position correctly on my LMT or Noveske rails. The only way to get them to lock in place is to pull up on the center of the locking piece so the latch ends dig into the rail, which gouges the rail finish.

My favorite combo is KAC on the bottom, rubber ladders on the sides and open top. Feels good and gives great heat  management.

Some people don't care about minor finish blemishes from use............

Yeah but they don't get hot.

I think they have a new style out now too.  Slimmer and gripper

Thanks for the info.  Off to see if I can find them.

I think their newer rail covers are actually proprietary to their new rail system, bit could be wrong.  They have a nice "goofball" texture though!

Yep, those are proprietary to the URX 3 series of rails.  They are mounted with screws into the mounting holes on the rail.
