They're cheap and they make people think they could push over a mountain with their truck.

That's why they're everywhere.

I want one because they're cheap and deer are fucking idiots.

I put one on my old 2500 because at the time I was driving a lot and concerned about hitting wildlife.

While I had it, my brother damn near totaled his truck hitting a BIG mule deer, and my dad destroyed 2 cars with the animals he hit.

It seemed weird.

I am starting to think I need one of these. The picture of the Tundra on their site looks pretty good. I would feel pretty good commuting into DC with that on.

I have a pair of the Ranch Hand Summit bumpers front and back on my 2012 f-150. I’ve been backed into twice, run over a coyote doing 60, and have used them to open bump gates.

They’re stout, and I have mine because I spend a lot of time on back roads in East Texas infested with deer and hogs, and I don’t want to be stranded if I hit one.

To offset the sagging effect, I installed a rancho Quick lift kit and it did the job.

You can feel the weight on the front end and it cost me about 1-1.5 mpg in fuel economy, but haven’t had any front end issues as of now. Ball joints and tie rod ends are still just fine.

I've had the RH grill guard on my truck for 6 years and the powder coating has held up great and it's still shiny black. No pealing or rust.

Couldn't be because you somehow took 3 or 4 parking spots, they didn't want you to hit them.

I'm a fan. Hit a cow at approximately 50.
Still rocking the same bumper.

Who makes that tire rack?

My F350 Crew Cab LB 4x4 King Ranch isn’t long enough.

On a 2017 Chevy Silverado I've never noticed it. It doesn't affect weight distribution or stance at all and I have stock suspension. Got one off of eBay for my last truck. Total POS. You get what you pay for.

The last part is why I am thinking about something. I've got 5-10 miles of backroads to get to city roads and have deer pass every morning / evening to and from work.

We have a metric shit ton of deer here south of Nashville.

ETA: for those that have em how noticeable is the weight on the front end?

They do affect your alignment. Have it checked after having one installed. I bought a slightly used f150 with a grill guard. I ended up with a ruined tire because the previous owner didn't have the alignment checked.

I've got a Fusion on the front of my F250. You can get it a few different ways. Not a megastructure like the ranch hand but I think it would do well vs deer. IIRC it weighs about 175lbs. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/183699/2C06CE02-E7E8-46DE-947A-13EC4408976D-642876.jpg
Doesn't stick out far but can carry a winch, my main reason for it.

That's cute. Does it come with a force field? A deer will go around that. Murphy guides the deer in a vehicle collision.
