What are you in the mood for?
Casablanca is good for love. Notorious is good for love and a bit of suspense. Double Indemnity is good for watching lovers go bad. Gun Crazy is similar and influenced Tarantino if you like him The Third Man has interesting characters and style. It was on TV the other day and someone made a thread about it. All of those are good noir films. I teach film so I get to watch these all of the time. I love it. |

Did watch 1917 last night though. |

I've been exploring *old* movies lately and have found some most entertaining films. Have you seen "The General" (1926) with Buster Keaton or "Mr. Robinson Crusoe" (1932) with Douglas Fairbanks?
They are both highly entertaining, enough to put more Keaton and Fairbanks films on my must watch list. BTW, they're mostly fun, and less serious. |

The Seventh Cross.
Oh, just noticed you said with your wife, nevermind. |

Not sure if classic, but I just watched “M “ with a young peter lorre.its in German with English subtitles, 1931. Thought it was great!! ETA it’s rentable on amazon, thought the subject matter was odd for that time in Germany, directed by fritz Lange, very scary!

View Quote @flyhack72 I always figured The Third Man would make a good classroom study on lighting and use of shadows. Not my trade (film or teaching). |

I don't want to spoil the end of the movie from 1944, The last line of the movie is "What do you do with people like that"? Click To View Spoiler You fucking kill them that's what
